We Rode VelociCoaster, Universal's Newest Roller Coaster! | Awesome Queue, Locker Area & Child Swap

In today's vlog we head to Universal's Islands of Adventure to ride the VelociCoaster for the annual passholder preview! We got an in depth look at the queue, the locker area and the child swap family room area. Then we give our thoughts on the coaster and the theming. Spoiler alert! We LOVED it! I’m hoping I’m the future they add a theme end scene. I think the best roller coaster are the theme ones like the mummy and expedition Everest. I think this ride could do with a finale scene.

@@AngryKrumpet Well that makes sense that they didn’t do it because the ride is mainly based on velociraptors, but I have heard someone say that on the end of the ride Owen Grady mentions that there’s like a river situation, so they said that supposedly the Jurassic Park: River Adventure ride will be re-themed to Jurassic World

When Tim said "I don't know why I said 'Good. How are you?'" I felt that lol I met Tim at D23 in 2019 and said Hi. His response was "Hey! How's it going?" but I was expecting him to ask for my name (why? I don't know. I was nervous lol) so I responded to how's it going by telling him my name. I could see the look of confusion on his face but he was so sweet and introduced himself to me then asked again how's it going.

@@RubyAnnRodriguez95 Exactly. I used to be TERRIFIED of rollercoasters like the Incredible Hulk rollercoaster, my legs were literally shaking on the first time I was in the line to ride it. After I rode it I instantly liked it a lot and up to this day, I rode it three times just from excitement

Being from New England and riding Superman Ride of Steel at Six Flags so many times, I love when they don’t put shoulder restraints on coasters. It’s way more thrilling when your butt is literally flying out the seat for most of the ride

Fun fact, Velociraptors were actaully only the size of a turkey or chicken. The dinosaurs depicted in the Jurrasic movies and this coaster are actually Deinonychus.

I NEED to ride this. The way you guys explained it, it sounds like it gives you a similar experience to the Twisted Colossal (I think that’s what it was called) coaster at Magic Mountain six flags in Cali. That is the best theme park I’ve been to this far. Tim, the fact that you said this is better than Mako is exciting. I wanted to ride Mako so bad after one of your videos when you said it was the best. I finally went on it during magical dining month & I went on it 4 or 5 times in a row. It was amazing I agreed it was the best coaster in Florida. So now I’m excited about this coaster. Thank you!

I thought it was hilarious that it said prosthetics must be removed! Primarily because we have a friend who actually tests prosthetic legs and has lost them In bizarre places, like the coast off of CA while water skiing, and on a ski run in CO, and I can so see him losing one on a roller coaster!

I just got back from Universal last night, and I got to ride it twice! The first time they didn’t have much of the queue on, like the lights and video weren’t all on, and we finished the ride and then got stuck so we had to be walked off 😂 The second time we saw so much more theming in the queue and we finished and didn’t get stuck. I remember Chris Pratt was in a video and he yelled something like “yes of course cause putting a roller coaster in the raptor paddock is a GREAT idea!”

Hello lovely people! As someone who just got home from Florida and went to Universal I can say that the rides there are extremely fun!! If you don’t like long lines, I cant assure you that you’ll like the park, but as you have/ will see, the lines have great decorations that make the experience amazing!! I didn’t get the chance to go on all rides (especially considering the fact that there’s so many stores lmao) but from what I saw they’re all worth the wait! I do have to say though, the prices at the park are kinda expensive. You can look into that if you want to but I wanted to warn you of that 😅. If you read all this I’m sorry it’s so long but I thought I’d give my opinion of the park, as someone who had been looking forward to the park for a long time. Thank you!

Well, that sucks that the gift shop was the passholder sitting section for burger digs. That was the best place to sit. Also, funny that I have seen other pov videos on YT if you cannot film. Plus I am happy to know I have rode something Tim hasn't with the Terranadon flyers!!

The child/rider swap is such a great program. I love amusement parks (the atmosphere, games, snacks, shows etc.) but rides terrify me. As a kid, one of my parents always had to miss out to sit with me and i felt guilty haha. I don't even have kids, but it's very nice to see this option.

Great cue!! Did Jackson like it too? I've already seen POV's of the ride and it looks great! In 2023 we want to go to Orlando and Velocicoaster is on top of my list of coasters I want to ride, while we are there! This year we will be going to Belgium, where Ride to Happiness and Kondaa will be opening in Plopsaland and Walibi Belgium... You should both visit Europe soon!!! Camp Cretaceous is soooo good. started watching it with our kids after they whined about not being old enough for the real movies. WOW did they ever do a great job at tying the show directly into the Jurassic World movies. if you know the movies well enough, you can follow along with that time line directly beside the timeline of this kids show.
