In today's vlog we start with some cleaning and organizing of our office space, it's fun to rearrange furniture and put up new artwork and just get a new look. We're not finished just yet, it's definitely a work in progress and we can't wait to show the finished look and gallery wall with all of the artwork you guys have sent in over the years and some of our other favorite pieces! We also get to see Jackson try bananas for the first time while we continue his baby led weaning. He seems to like the bananas more than the avocado, but we're so happy with his progress! Then we try some delicious new beer cheese that our friends dropped off with some groceries the other day, it was so gooooood!! Definitely try it if you love beer cheese! We move some plants around and look at the progress of the Aerogarden herbs and veggies. We can't wait to be able to eat some tomatoes! Then it's time for dinner, we had beef and mushroom yaki udon from Marley Spoon, it was really good! Then the next morning we talked about some of the breaking news that came out today about Universal Orlando Resort, they could be opening the first week of June, that's big news! What do you think about that? Let us know in the comments down below. Thank you for hanging out at home with us! We'll see you tomorrow with a live show!

You probably already know this, but when Jackson starts crawling, he will use anything to pull himself up to standing very soon. Bookshelves need to be bolted to the wall so he can't pull it over on himself. Granny out.

I always changed up my room and still move things all the times. Love seeing Jackson with the real good. I know the possibility of choking seems scary but at this age his choking reflex is extra sensitive so that it knows to spit things out. It's important for him to learn that skill now before that sensitivity decreases and the likelihood of choking does get worse. By giving him real food rather than the purée, that rolls down the throat, he's learning what's too big and that's why he spits it out. He's a smart boy.

Yup same! Grew up rearranging everything from clothes, to little figures like my precious moments to my furniture. Now in our home my husband and I are constantly rearranging. I work with furniture now as part of my career and I tell clients that sometimes after living in your home for a while your needs change and the function of a room can completely transform. You guys had Jackson, so you’ll see. You’ll be be moving stuff for years to come! Have fun with it! It’s your home, your vision.

Advice from a Visual Art Teacher: For the gallery wall, start with the largest piece as an anchor point wherever you want, then work your way out with medium and small size pieces, making sure that 2 pieces side-by-side never line up horizontally - balance!!

Been watching you guys for YEARS, but now, seeing Jackson & especially him smiling brings SO much joy!!!! I’m SO happy that you have him during this time...talk about serendipity! I used to rearrange my bedroom all the time, and then my house. It’s a great way for things to feel new again & since I love traveling (oh my, the money I’m saving this year!) it’s almost like going to a new place. Can’t WAIT to see your finished office!!!!!!!! Love you guys and thank you SO MUCH for sharing your lives & joy & also during this time, especially, helping us feel “normal” ; like all the trails and tribulations, the good stuff, along with the bad & sad, the not feeling safe going out, but going stir crazy, too, etc. Oh, and I feel normal and ok now that I know your office looks exactly like mine 🥰. Much love...and hope. I have faith that we’ll all get through this eventually and all be much better people for it. Maybe even more united than ever. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼❤️🍀🍀🍀

Hey guys ! Love your channel and Jackson is soooo cute ! Regarding the squirrels, you need to get a pole instead of putting your feeder on a tree and then a baffle to put on the pole and place it in your yard away from any tree the squirrel can jump from to get your bird seed. Make sure the feeders are high enough off the ground that the squirrels can't jump to it from the ground. Speaking from experience after spending too much for birdseed for those pesky squirrels to steal.

I still think a custom pillow with Bandit's picture on it would look great where he slept on the couch. A great little memorial for the "Bean".

Get a squirrel feeder!! It’s so fun to watch them eat. I have a bird feeder and the birds drop the food and the squirrels eat it off the ground. My dog sits at the window and loves to watch them!

We did baby lead weaning with our son (who is about to turn 1) the best tool we got was a crinkle cutter!! makes it easy for babies to grip foods. If you can stand the mess, oatmeal with no added sweeteners is a great food to try at the beginning too.

Yes Jen, I used to move my furniture around all the time for a new look. My hubby was not amused 😀 you may want to get a squirrel guard for the feeder.

You need to get a bird feeder pole and a squirrel baffle! It’s shaped like a long cylinder and attaches to the pole. Place the pole away from anything the squirrels can jump from but close enough to the tree so the birds can fly back and forth quickly. I have one and the squirrels never get up to the food.

We have a bird feeder that t has a spring loaded perch, and the birds are light enough to sit on it. But if a squirrel tries to get to the seed, it is too heavy and it pushes on the perch which closes the doors to the seed. Works great!

I used to rearrange the furniture a lot!! Any time I did a deeper cleaning I moved it around. Probably about one a month! My husband used to joke that he better not come home in the dark because he would surely trip on things I moved. As I got older and was working full time I don't do it much any more. Plus furniture is heavier and more set in certain places. Just looks leaner and more spacious when you switch it up.

If u are wanting to keep squirrels out of the bird feeder try putting oil or Vaseline on the base. Also not sure how you feel about using sign language with Jackson? But it would be a great time to start like when he’s done eating say and sign all done to him, eventually he will catch on and start to use it. These are just ideas. You guys are so awesome! ❤️🐿🌴🐦

I totally agree......We just moved into a new house (new state) right before this Covid started. That is how we roll it seems. Never a dull moment in our lives. Getting the last of our furniture delivered this Saturday. It has been a work in progress but I'm seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. We are glad we went to Disney World this last September as we were going to wait until this past March!! Our family loves watching your vlogs!!!

Smaller bird is male house finch. Very common bird at our feeders. Feeder would be best on a pole away from the tree with a baffle to keep the squirrels from climbing up. Also far enough from the tree to prevent them from jumping to it. Once they discovered it, it can be really hard to keep them away. The good news is once the birds discover the feeder, they will be repeat visitors.
