Making Nutella Peanut Butter Banana Bread, Secret Hot Dogs & A Shy Baby! | Home Vlog

In today's vlog we make some Nutella peanut butter banana bread from Sally's Baking Addiction blog (link down below) we didn't have all the things we needed to make it the right way so made it our own with some chocolate from you guys and some nuts! It actually turned out pretty dang good! We also talk about some things we want to do in the next couple of days, we want to do a nature park day for sure! We also had to take some things to donate so Jenn got out of the house for the first time in a long time. It was good! Then we start making some pork tacos for dinner and Jackson ate some sweet potatoes. And we ended the night watching Knives Out and talked a little about some sleep issues we are having with the baby. From my experience, rubbing their eyes is the way of self soothing. My babies fussed wiggled and rubbed their eyes during sleep training. It’s hard at first but it gets better. Keep extending the time in between soothing him if you’d like. Let him have more of a chance at self soothing. You’ve got this! Your both doing such a good job and it’s a joy to watch you navigate parenthood. 🤗❤️👍

Former daycare worker here: something that I've seen parents use for children Jackson's age and older is a "starfish suit"; it acts kind of like a swaddle because it gives them that same sense of security, but doesn't limit movement like a swaddle does. Plus, it looks super stinking adorable!! The one thing to watch out for is overheating, because then they are essentially wrapped in an enclosed blanket. Might be worth looking into, though, as it would encase his hands and might prevent the eye-rubbing.

In regard to sanitizing surfaces and rides, nothing is 100% so we need to remember that, be aware and not overwhelm ourselves to the point of anxiety thinking about it. Does that make sense? Just use good judgement and be respectful of others space.
