Disney Very Merrytime Cruise Week Day2! | Touring Nassau, Character Dance Party & Oceaneer Club!

In today’s vlog we have day 2 of our Disney Very Merrytime Cruise! Today is also our day at port and we’re in Nassau! We start the day with some breakfast at Cabanas and then we head to the Oceaneers Club for their open house. We really wanted Jackson to have some play time in there and he loved it! Then we head out to the Finding Nemo splash pad for some more fun! While Jackson was napping we head out to explore Nassau with some friends! We had lunch at a local spot and we learned so much about the island, it was so much fun! Then we head back to the ship where we have some dinner at Animator’s Palate again, this time we got to talk to Crush, Jackson loved that too! Dinner was great! We got to see some characters in their Christmas wear but we ended our night with a character dance party and some shopping. We had so much fun at the dance party! I have been on so many cruises. Disney does provide incredible service- especially family oriented service. One evening our daughter was exhausted and laying on me at dinner. With my hands full I could not cut my food. One of our servers noticed and came over and cut my food up for me so I could continue to enjoy my food. I have never felt so taken care of on a cruise. It's amazing.

I remember in June 1980 our “senior” (just grad from high school) cruise to the Bahamas. In Nassau someone approached our group of friends with a shell necklace, put it on our necks and said “here is your free gift, what will you give me for it?” I still have that necklace, along with the Bahamian dollar bill I found while snorkeling. That was so long ago, but the memory is treasured. A cruise, at age 18 with your besties. So wonderful!

Your tour guide friend 👍🏻👍🏻…. He reminds me of my 4th grade teacher. I think I’ll check out his channel too. I’ve always wondered if they rent little scooters for tourists like they do in Key West, FL. Loved the scene with Tim and Jenn dancing during the dance party. That was a great choice to put in. I wish ALL the cruise lines would use the "they serve you" in the buffet - would hopefully cut down on some of the "decision making while standing there, holding everybody else up" and DEFINITELY cut down on the people who make MESSES of everything, like they were raised in a barn! I also hope that stays "a thing" after Covid!! Loved seeing Jackson having a great time in the Oceaneer's Club, and at the Splash Pad! So neat that you got to meet your friend in Nassau, and get the personal tour. Love his accent! Also - VERY cool that you ha a friend who could come along, and that Jackson likes, and trusts, that could watch him, to give you some "alone time". Very nice! I was wondering if you were going to be allowed to bring your guava treat back onboard. Very nice about you server cleaning your Crush cup, and bringing Jackson raspberries! Very cool about the changing in the bookshelves, and bravo for you for noticing! I'll betcha MOST people don't! Watching that light during the dance party was cool - reminded me of Luxo, in the Pixar movies! :) That "ship in a bottle: was really cool, although not sure about the price. That kid's pirate outfit is adorable, it's probably $100. Wow - can't believe people were stealing the knives from the restaurant - tacky! Socially distanced hugs to the 3 of you from New Jersey.
