Our Full Storybook Dining Experience At Disney's Wilderness Lodge! | Disney Dining Food Review

In today's vlog we head to Disney's Wilderness Lodge to have dinner at the new Storybook Dining at Artist Point. I wanted to apologize for all of the background noise in this vid, I think we were near water feature in the lobby and the mic was picking that up and the restaurant itself was just a little loud so we're sorry about that, we'll come prepared with better mics in the next one for sure! We started our meal with shared appetizers, we really liked the Hunter's Pie. Then we had our main courses, we tried the veal shank and the prime rib. We also met Dopey, Grumpy and Snow White during dinner. We talked with them for a while and had a chance to take pictures with all of them as well. We really felt like the interactions were awesome, they all took their time with us and it didn't feel rushed at all. Some characters came by the tables multiple times. Then we had our shared mini desserts, gooseberry pie, layered cake and the poison apple. Our fav was the gooseberry pie, the layered cake was reallllllly sweet and the poison apple was a creamy apple custard covered in edible glitter, it was so pretty! We talked about the meal as a whole and then went back in to meet the Queen, she was awesome! We really loved meeting all of the characters, but the food was definitely hit and miss. We want to try it again as some point so we can try other entrees though, so be on the lookout for that. We hope you enjoyed joining us at Storybook Dining for dinner! Thank you so much for sharing your Disney lives with all of us. Your videos helped to guide my husband and I through my 60th birthday celebration last December. It was a magical trip, just two adults who were as excited as kids in the parks. OMG!! The Wilderness Lodge is our home resort for both our DVCs. We were just there at Boulder Ridge Villas and loved it. We stay at Copper Creek in May and November. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge tons of times before buying our DVCs. Thanks for such wonderful videos. We haven’t tried the Storybook Dining yet. We could see the lights in the trees changing colors from the ramp down to Roaring Forks. We love watching Tim eat things. 😊👍🏻❤️

I just love Wilderness Lodge, it is my favorite Disney resort but so expensive to stay there. That Storybook Dining looked like so much fun but I don't know if it is worth the price. As a former restaurant manager, I would never want a guest to not eat their meal because they didn't like it. Please request another entree when this happens. Disney would immediately replace the meal with something you'd prefer. I see this on KZbin videos/ reviews all the time. How can the restaurant fix the problem if the guests don't say anything? If they get enough complaints about an item, they will be forced to adjust the recipe/ quality. It's not rude to say something. After all, you're paying $55 for this.

Kevin Reid I think there’s a misconception about not liking a meal and ‘complaining’ about it so that can fix it or replace it. So people just eat it as is, even if they don’t like it. You’re absolutely right though. Disney is of a ‘different breed’ and would fix whatever is wrong. 😊

Just about any restaurant meal is editable. And yeah, I can imagine sending back an over-cooked steak -- especially if I were eating alone. But if there were 3 other people in my party, I would probably just pick at it and enjoy the conversation. Also... The whole shoe-horning of character dining into this signature restaurant just seems odd. Yeah, it might be nice to take a fun photo with a character or two on the way out -- like they do at Be Our Guest, but... Most would agree that announcing character arrivals every 10-minutes during a dinner service is not necessary.

Gooseberry pie, gooseberry jam, gooseberry fool - all classics in the U.K. Ive always called them goozgoggs. Character announcements are made at Cinderella royal table, rapunzals breakfast and the beast is announced at be our guest.

Yeah we were in a Tim Tracker video! We were there that night as well, we were the ones who said hi. The experience was fun but we also felt the food could use some work. My wife and mother-in-law liked the prime rib, father-in-law got the chicken and said it was a little dry. I got the snapper but if it didn't have all the extra add-ins I felt it would have been dry too. The desserts were really good though, I agree about the gooseberry pie, yum! Appetizers were ok too, yes the bisque did have a bite to it. The hunters pies were kinda wierd though. The drinks we're cool, I got the smoking mirror but the smoke smell was almost overpowering.

This made me even more excited to try this one day, the character interaction looked amazing! The bon voyage breakfast also has things happening throughout - they announce all the characters and they do little dances and processions! The Ohana breakfast also has a procession of characters and the children with maracas!

It's actually not the only dining that does something fun when the characters come out! You guys should do the Bon Voyage breakfast for example on the boardwalk!!! The food is unique to any breakfast food on property and delicious, and you get spectacular interaction with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider & Ariel and Prince Eric.

Hello Tim and Jen I love your videos!! The heart the huntsman brings back to his queen was supposed to Snow White's, but he had a change of heart and killed a deer instead and gave it to the queen. What a lot of people forget in this day and age is that fairy tales were not meant for children. The tales were gathered by minstrels and travelers and they would exchange these stories for food and lodging. When these tales were being told way back when, there was no tv, internet, or even books, and even if there were books, the common person was illiterate. So these stories were told to adults and children alike, for entertainment at the end of a long work day. Thanks again for all the fun videos.

We were lucky enough to get a reservation while we were there in January. We loved it! We did find that the constant action was a lot, but it didn’t feel distracting. My favorite appetizer was the squash bisque. I got the prime rib, and it was very fatty, but it wasn’t bad. My favorite part of the entree was the Yorkshire pudding. I could have eaten a plate of that. My fiancé got the gnocchi and loved it. If we’re fortunate enough to go back for another visit that’s the entree I’d get. The gooseberry pie was my favorite dessert, and the layered cake my least favorite. We also found the final dessert presentation interesting, and felt it was slightly disjointed, though we understood why they wanted to include it.

We loved Storybook Dining! I'm surprised you weren't a fan of the steak. I had it and loved it but don't remember the smokey flavor you talked about. Someone else in our party got whatever the dish was that came in a broth. I can't remember it exactly but the broth was incredible. I don't remember the appetizers being very memorable though, and I thought the popcorn and hearts at the end was too much after all the desserts they bring out. I can't wait to go back!
