Well it should was a lot was going on especially how it took reference from the original story, so again it was that Shredder was the Dragons puppet and Kitsune following order that nearly destroyed the world. It was weird choice for making Jenny a turtle instead of bringing back Venus who came in later as some sort of Frankenstein monster and that Agent Bishop has dwarfism in a robot body instead of making him over a hundred years old in 2003 series or an Utrom in the 2012 series. I noticed that Master Splinter taking over the Foot sure was surely making him become like the Shredder as that is why Mikey left him and later the rest for a while which hope you do a video when Mikey went Solo at some point and of course that the Armageddon game and the IDW Rat king will have separate videos?

What are your pros and cons about idw and mirage city at war

I think the Mirage storyline was tighter thematically. All the characters were transforming and getting proper development. The IDW version kind of threw a few unconnected plots together and found a way to link them in the end, but for this version of the Turtles, the saga didn't really transform the characters until it was over (with the exception of Splinter).

@@TheTurtleNexus in mirage I think they could've developed and fleshed out characters more such as the orroku saki character and their then newly introduced female kunoich Karai being chunin of the Japanese branch of the foot and Shredder being a Jonin underling of under karai when we saw that the foot manipulated saki into being a kingpin of new york and to seek vengeance on yoshi and shen they could've developed her daughter Amaya and shown her struggle and death by the foot elite, Gabriella and Robyn needed development and the story could've added in Aprils parents and worked on the romance aspect of casey and april splinter should've been more active in fighting his enemies than just his sons wandering off in the woods to have a meta physical experience with the rat king and the foot themselves could've used development to show their relationship with their master orroku saki in the wake of his second death at the hands of the turtles.

I dont believe thats how that went down with a female ninja turtle because they had venus de milo in 97 which why eastman and laird friendship split apart in the first place cause of them breaking the dynamic of the four brothers

@@TheTurtleNexus the mark where you talk about the little girl fans asking Kevin eastman about why aren't there female ninja turtles, you did mention "artemesia" sophie campell O.C. insert they had this character in the works in their fan comic secret of the ooze comic on deviant art prior to 2011 idw reboot done around the comics first few issues before they went on and did the leonardo microseries eastman has no control over what nick viacom does with the property what peter laird sold, hes just a consultant producer at this point and has given into the modern politics that goes into crafting popular I.P.'s but artimesia aka jennika was in the works some issues before they made them a full time artist and writter on the idw books staff, to make decisions like bring back old concepts and characters from different aspects of the franchise that didn't work before, i believe this character was in the works when sophie campell pitched the ideas for a tmnt dark horse comic reboot with a racially ambiguous plump april, and the turtles back in the all red mask look and a super shredder concept art, with keno in it. Peter Laird and Kevin's friend ship broke up because show buisness executives were ruining the brand by introducing more mutant gimmicks and Saban power rangers venus was the one that broke the camels back with the turtles franchise that messed with the dynamic and the tragedy of the tmnt splinter and leatherhead "being the only mutants of their kind" (going back to the sons of the silent age comic arch.*) the introduction of those rpg palladium books opened the flood gates for recolors the playmates toyline and other mutant gimmick shenanigans when initially the story of the turtles is the cycle of revenge, brotherhood, and morally grey assassins, and the tragedy that the turtles are trying to find a purpose after fulfilling their masters bushido wishes cannot have a normal life as a teenager, their child soldiers and after them there is no next generation of them theme which is why the 87 the idw the roninverse ruins that aspect of the tmnt franchise.

Don't underestimate Eastman's role in this. The other writers and artists listen to him. But Kevin likes giving artists space to experiment. That's how he likes things. He is also very much involved in breakdowns, art, and covers. I can't understand why people keep talking about Sophie in all of this. Jennika is Tom Waltz creation. He is the one that made all the decisions. Sophie only worked on the designs. So calling her "O.C. insert" is very incorrect. In any case, the Mirage comics are their own universe, what would be the point of making every universe the same as the one that existed before? Where's the creativity in that approach? People would say that they ran out of ideas decades ago.

@@TheTurtleNexus I wouldn't say mirage era ran out of ideas they needed eastman and laird to come back together and work on the story and world building and to expand more on characters than rely on the staff to tell their creations story and had that other staff and a trusted lawyer to step in on the buisness side of things rather than them doing all the paperwork

@@TheTurtleNexus if it was sophie or tom waltz idea it still goes against Peter lairds wishes on the matter of adding in more turtles to the fray and damages the cycle of revenge and the reason why they are inconflict with shredder and the foot clan on a personal level cause you loose that assassin effectiveness of their skills you also loose the tragedy that there is no next generation after them they can't have girlfriends they can't be normal teenagers they are anomalies then if that's the case why not make a planet of turtleiods or reptiles and rat men like planet of the apes or something lol.
