TheViperAOC - Age of Empires 2 when you play the last mission in Francisco de Almeida don’t follow the objective to convert the guys men, instead build a dock on the river and transport vills over and boom like heck. But once you complete the 1st objective everyone will turn enemy.

The final scenario takes place at 732. At the end of this campaign Berbers were victorious! Although i dare say that their victory is short lived. If you remember particular scenario from Battle of Conquerors. More specific Tours. (which this scenario takes place at 732) You probably would know that is seemed that Berbers already won but then Franks got the upper hand and managed to beat Berbers.

Actually, Frankish army didnt had heavy cavalry not even cavalry at this period, it only rely on heavy infantrymen, it is inacurate since it is too early for european knights to exist.

Here is a vid that explains a bit the situation in that era. The channel is a very good one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nF6Tl5uFZa-Yq5Y I wondered why the caliphate would recall Tariq and Musa when they are conquering with an unstoppable force... It results that there were problems and it was the "king" brother who recalled them cause he was a douche and wanted to take the power. IN fact he even exiled Musa. All of this specially resonates in me when in the intro of this chapter it says "the frankish localization is no match for the organization of the caliphate" lol

I think it has to do with the Siege of Constantinople (717-718) by the Umayyad Caliphate which was much more important to them than the push in Spain & France. Pulled out majority of forces and concentrated on the war with Byzantines.

imo the berber campaign is the most boring bc most standard campaign except no4. it's always about base building and rushing down quite generic enemy towns who constantly produce units without eco. also the landscape is quite simple as well. i definitely prefer the other 3 and looking forward to it.
