I would also say for my solo offline players out there, ring rally in the weekends is a great way to make some quick coins. I found it's almost quicker to play 15 minutes of rally than hoping in 15 minutes to get into a lobby and game before someone quits out.

When I didn't have an online subscription, I found that playing ring rally gave me a lot of coins. Specially on Koala Carnival, which is easy to get more than 8 laps. Also catching the golden wumpa on a race is a good idea

you can "bot" go to crystal challenge, put hard then pick first level on top. then you wait the timer to run out u pres x 3x then the level restarts u get 15 coins per minute ond 30 on week ends. but you can do it while doing something else.

If you win on Electron Avenue on the weekend and if you manage to get a golden Wumpa you get 1000 Wumpa coins which is pretty good

It seems, but you wasted your time because the track is too long. Even if you end it in 3 minutes. Example, you earn 80 coins (normal first place), so for 3 minutes (really hard) do 80/180s = 0.45 coins per second. Hyper spaceway give you 59 for first place, so if you end it in 1.50 (easy) do 59/110 = 0.54 coins per second. With your example you earned 800+200=1000 for one race, with my example you earn 590*2(races)=1180+200(one golden wumpa) = 1380 for two race and playing the same amount ot time (but is better because it's really hard to end avenue in 3 minutes, so use 3 minutes and 10 seconds minimum if you're good, so 80/190 = 0.42 coins per seconds).

One trick I used to use (pretty sure it's patched out now) was to load up the Lab Basement Crystal Challenge, change the TV to something else (or turn it off), and slowly and repeatedly press X. This gives you a base 15 coins every 50 seconds of game time, so a little over a minute of real time... all while you're _not actually playing the game._ As I didn't have online at the time, this was a far more effective strategy than anything not involving Wumpa Challenges, which are quick to exhaust via COMs anyway. At some point though, the game started getting wise, such that the matches would no longer grant you coins after a short time. As for tricks that still work... the only one not covered in the video is Golden Wumpa. Catching one is a cool 200 Coins, making it considerably worthwhile even for those with online access! The problem with those however, is that they don't show up every race. Maybe one in eight races? And only if you don't quit any races mid way. So while they're always worth pursuing, relying on them is rather foolish.

I'm not sure if it still happens that the wumpa time coins bonus last for extra 30 minutes for total an hour and I learned that electron Avenue may have more wumpa coins earn rate but doesn't mean it a quick way to do it. The quickest way is either roo tube or jungle boogie sure it has low coins but it better with golden fruit as a sweet bonus.

@5:36 it is not necessarily easier rather there are more ways to earn in game however during the Grand Prix days or even older the payouts were actually significantly higher to the point you can offline farm

@@TheViperian uhhmm actually nope i think it proportionally increased the mindless farm hehe. The rewards on some the challenges is very little that some will just opt to play a higher payout game than to finish the challenges and the challenges that pays a little bit higher is almost reserved for experts. If you just started playing the game or started post grand prix time the amount of effort you need to exert is almost 10x than those that had brought the game from day 1. Imagine collecting 2500 wumpa coins to unlock characters that were free on the grand prix and the amount of time you need to spend .. also this requires a playstation plus subscription. that is just unlocking the characters . I feel like beenox needs to readjust the wumpa coin rewards to make the grinding a lot bearable. I mean a lot of us including you have not yet unlocked everything that is purchasable 😂😂😂

I think this one is worth mentioning; for the online races, if the opponent is very damn good and fast, and you're far left behind, you have to get at least lap 3 to earn wumpa coins, because if you don't, you won't earn wumpa coins. Wumpa coins are earned if you finished the race, or you made it to lap 3 without finishing the race.

Months ago I made an excel sheet which had all the tracks and how many coins they give in it. I put in my best times for each track and excel calculated on which track I got the most coins per minute. Electron Avenue might give the most coins per race but it also takes quite some time to complete. With my skill level Electron Avenue was only on 17th place for most coins per minute. Tiny Temple was 1st with Roos Tubes as a close 2nd. I can beat Roos Tubes almost three times in the time it takes for me to beat Electron Avenue once and there are also way less options to fail.

I bought the game less than a week ago and I hate how pit stop works. Random things that reset everyday. You have to either buy things you don't want right now and hope the next thing is what you need, or wait for days for a random chance. Oh and if you see what you need in the store and there's not enough time to grind coins (coming home from work for example) - you can go f*ck yourself

Hy! Do some Ring Rally on Electron Avenue, during weekend! That's my method. Less effective, but still a good one. Also it helps practising how to maintain BF and do U-Turn. It's tidious, but worth it.

For me, who play on Nintendo Switch - which is notorious for it's horrendous netcode (except for some of their own IP eg. Super Smash Bros Ultimate (I could play that via Wi-fi, which not recommended, even the game's director Masahiro Sakurai suggested to connect to Switch to LAN port) - I had rare chances to play online, but last time it seemed it's nearly impossible ("pLaYerS lEfT", kicks me out of lobby, ect. I can't even play with my friends either!), but if you insist about another ways, here's mine - of course less effective than the online one, but works... kind of. My method is Ring Rally on Electro Avenue, during weekend. The more ring you pass on, the more WC will come. I can't recall how, because 1) I ain't recorded 2) I couldn't maintain the same amount of laps. Also worth note to Electron Avenue is great for training at Blue Fire maintain and U-Turning as well. So bless Beenox for adding Ring Rally to the game - which other kart racers should have (do ya make notes, Nintendo?! :P )
