Great drone footage! It's funny to hear you talk about 1,500 feet of gain as strenuous, after watching your Ellingwood Ridge, Mt. Harvard, etc. videos!

I was wondering when you might post this hike. I ran into you at the top of God's Thumb and talked to you and your wife a bit. Nice video and I've been a subscriber ever since!

Did this hike couple days ago with my girlfriend when the day was gloomy and sprinkling and it was getting a little on the late side (5:20pm. I definitely regret going under those circumstances as we didn’t get to see the thumb bc we took a wrong turn and ended up somewhere else that had an ocean view (still beautiful) and also bc there was only one couple in the trail that we saw go in 10 minutes before us but never saw them again and one couple leaving while we were starting We kept hearing noises next to us in the woods and had a very eerie feeling the whole time ESPECIALLY when I reached “the knolls” as the forest got extremely quiet to the point where I can hear only our footsteps in the empty forest. I was dreading going back past “the knolls” but luckily we got out of there on the Nick of time and was happy to see the very little daylight of the gloomy sky at the parking lot again. Next time will go earlier in the day FORSURE

Hey there. I know this is a really old video but I was wondering what time do you think I would have to start if I want to get up to the top in time for the sunrise?

It's a wonderland, Oregon, god's thumb is connected to the devil's elbow... Do you like butter??? Beat you to the punch... Super Sports 😂🤯

Thank you for this video!! This is the second one I watched on this location and yours was perfect! Really gives a more thorough idea of what to expect and the scenery along the way. Beautiful! My question is, is it 4 miles out to God's thumb, or the hike all together, there and back adds up to 4 miles? I think I heard you say at the end of the video it was 2 miles to get there where you started?

Nice video! What time of the year did you do the hike? Or when is a good time to do this hike?
@TheVirtualsherpa2 жыл бұрын
Hiked this one in June, you can hike this all year round as long as you are okay with some ice and snow during the winter. I would say that in general April - October is probably the best timeframe. Check out my full guide on the hike here: www.thevirtualsherpa.com/gods-thumb-oregon-coast-hike-guide/

If you are a trail guide 😂 you should at least know the name. Did you check anything with the Siuslaw National Forest before posting. Another posser want to be that propagates misleading information for profits. By the way, your drone is not allowed where you were flying it!

My dude - this video has made $25 in nearly 3 years. If I was doing this for profits, I’d be VERY bad at this.

@@TheVirtualsherpa Why post this on my business page? If you do Not know the name of the knob, maybe you can use some consulting? Anyhow, you have to never had business with us and yet feel the need to push your webpages from my business page. This is the type that are annoying and wrong.
