love the video man, I would love to see you try making a POV video with the mic inside the cabin. having the mic on the bumper over exposes the decibels so it would be cool to hear a driver POV experience

Thanks mate, unfortunately the way the mics work is that if in cabin you don't hear anything unless going WOT and even then it doesn't really match what you hear with your ears in person. The closest I've found to capturing this is by putting mics on the car and with the Evo I've found the sweet spot of matching sound but I clearly need to adjust the exhaust mic a bit as I had it too loud in this video

That turbo flutter combination at 6:28 is up there mate. Almost like a high pitched flutter coupled with a lower pitched flutter… Fuck me. The sound is very intoxicating for sure, so since adding the downpipe it's really changed the exhaust sound and given it a much meaner exhaust note so I'll have to do another one of these videos soon. It's definitely noticeable sound wise how much louder it is when I'm driving behind the car ect

As far as we know it's stock exhaust but I believe it's the Audi sports exhaust option. I have a mic at the rear of the car and I had it set a little too loud but the car is surprisingly loud in person too when it opens up

@@JacksonStrain yeah mine is sports exhaust + Milltek downpipe are u running stage2? if so it requires downpipe and intake (intercooler optional)

@@movhi9360 now it's currently stage 1 bit we have just picked up a JDY downpipe and midpipe plus a wagner evo 3 intercooler. Those will be going on soon plus some other stuff and a retune so might make a bit more sound and have a bit more power soon

Thanks man I appreciate the kind words. So i put a mic in the engine bay and one at exhaust and generally move them around and adjust volumes to try and get the sound right. Still haven't got it perfected on the RS3 yet but on my Evo I have done it a lot and got the locations and volumes dialed

Rs3 is an amazing choice. I’m actually deciding if I’m going 8v or want to spend more for an 8y. I actually like the looks better on the 8v but I like the 8y rear diff. Although I don’t track my cars so whatever. I can get a fbo hybrid turbo 8v for 33k USD right now which is a decent price in my opinion. Funny enough it was between rs3 or evoX or f80 as of right now lol.

8Y seems to have some great upgrades but still so new so quite a bit more expensive. So it was actually between an F80 M3 and RS3 for us as it was replacing my wifes Evo X so wanted sometime similar size and usability. All are great cars for sure

LOVING it! definitely needs a CETE activate valve controller though because in dynamic is very quiet until 3.8k rpm and you know… a lot of these damn roads are 60-70km/ph so i get up to speed limit in 2nd by the time i get to 3.5k rpm😭😂. plus downshifts would sound so good as right now first gear downshift is the only downshift that actually “sounds” if that makes sense lol
