Great vid! I can confirm going from a built 4b11 to a built DAZA is just a different league. so much more power for the same if not less mods. And the way it's so smooth yet violent at the same time is just crazy.
@JacksonStrain3 күн бұрын
Yeah it's crazy how much the DAZA wakes up but adding a few mods and staying stock turbo But then potential it has if you build the engine and go big turbo is even crazier.

Hey guys so cost breakdown below but I did forget to mention we got engine, DSG and Haldex services included plus 5x new genuine coil packs as we wanted to get the car healthy and all serviced up to date before adding power and tuning. So without doing that you could save around $1600 RS3 stage 2 cost us $9560 plus intake $800 = $10,360 Intercooler =We paid $1700 Could pay anywhere from $1000 to over $4,000 Intake =Ours costs $3500 Could get one for as cheap as $800 new or less used Downpipe =We paid $1500 Could pay anywhere from $1,000- 2,000+ Ds1 dongle =We paid $2200 Bosch 1050cc injectors =We paid $640 Flex fuel kit= We paid $520 Ecu stage 2 flex tune plus stage 3 tcu = We paid $3,000 Could pay from $1500 Total cost for us $9,560 A cheaper option could be as low as $5,000 if you shop around and just go a single fuel instead of flex fuel.

Do your costs include labour or is that just the parts cost? How much was labour?

Awesome breakdown, looking at getting an RS3 and I’m coming from a built WRX. Definitely an upgrade in my eyes
@benglasby80145 сағат бұрын
Yours is my dream RS3 (nardo grey, black pack, sedan). I ended up with a 2016 PFL RS3 as it came with 2 services, 2 years Audi factory warranty and the price was great. Maybe one day I’ll end up with my dream.
@JacksonStrain4 сағат бұрын
Thanks, the Nardo Grey and black pack does look killer and is definitely what we were wanting when looking at RS3s. We did look at a few PFL before buying this one but after one we really wanted sold the day after we viewed it we said the next car we like we will just snap up asap so got lucky with this one as there was lots of interest in it

Stunning car and colour. I've got a full bolt on b8 s4 and am thinking of upgrading soon to the daza Rs3. Look forward to the build progress.

Thanks mate love the B8 S4s too

The Audi tax is real. Used to have a 2017 Rs3 that was pushing around 455kw wheel. Blew the rear diff a few weeks later and Audi wanted $14.7k for a brand new diff. Aftermarket options were in the 10k range albeit much stronger than OEM. Decided to sell the car and go down the JDM route. Was very shocked to see shops in the US selling entire driveline kits (transmission, diff, clutch etc) all for around 15-18k with all with ratings and warranties guaranteeing of 1500hp+ wheel.
@JacksonStrain2 күн бұрын
Wow yeah that's crazy and enough to turn anyone back to a JDM car with the cheaper prices
@Tstuffs8 сағат бұрын
+1 the engines are solid but the drivelines are weak. My transfer case blew and then the diff about 8months later. I only had about 320ish Kw. The price i was quoted from audi was over 22k for both from memory just parts. So i sourced used ones from a place in Melbourne for 11k installed it all myself and sold it making a whopping loss from about 16months of ownership

Helpful vid thanks very tempted to add a TTRS to the garage someday so this should all be the same since it's the same engine right?
@JacksonStrain2 күн бұрын
Yeah would be basically the same for TTRS and man those things are cool too
@Sam-mq5us2 күн бұрын
Damn I thought the GTR tax was crazy, $3500 for an intake 😅 Great vid btw!
@JacksonStrain2 күн бұрын
Hahaha yeah that brand sells them for all types of cars too and all are crazy expensive. Iove that intake but if i was the one paying for it I'd likely have gone the $800-$1,000 option 🤣
@tr4n2 күн бұрын
Eventuri intakes look absolutely amazing, but they do the same as a regular intake for more than half the price. You're basically paying for the looks and brand, not performance.
@JacksonStrain2 күн бұрын
Yeah definitely all about the looks
@RichLion20 сағат бұрын
I have a very similar setup. 2020, DS1, Stage 2, DS1, SRM Flex fuel kit etc. Even the Eventuri intake. About to embark on an engine build, for improved reliability for stage 2. Stage 2 is the absolute limit of these, especially when running ethanol. If you have the money and want to keep the car long term, i'd recommend looking at forging/strengthing the bottom end.
@JacksonStrain19 сағат бұрын
How good is it with those mods hey? Yeah definitely wouldn't go a turbo without building engine and might look into doing it anyway to feel stress free when driving it hard
@RichLion18 сағат бұрын
@JacksonStrain It's awesome. Just worry about the rods and bearings. Keep a close eye on your oil changes and filter.
@jacobleiper3 күн бұрын
wow didn’t expect 10k… My M140i to bring it to Stage 2+ was just shy of 3k all up. (this was OTS map not custom) so that would save some $$
@JacksonStrain3 күн бұрын
Yeah could be down for a lot less but we wanted all the good stuff and a custom tune with flex fuel and multiple maps. To upgrade to stage 2 on the software the car already had by just adding the downpipe we could have been around 2.5k and while it would still be stage 2 it would be a completely different level of car and mods which is why I don't like the whole "stage" thing with modding as it can be done so differently yet still be considered the same level of mods. Edit actually forgot we also got engine, DSG and Haldex serviced as well as 5x new coil packs in this price. I was meant separate those from the pricing but somehow messed up the numbers 😂
@fps-gs3hz3 күн бұрын
$ spent for that power is a bargain but the question is how much will ot cost to maintain? Will that even it out against an Evo over a few years?
@JacksonStrain3 күн бұрын
Yeah agreed cost me double that to make less power in my Evo but they are different engines and cars aimed at different types of driving i guess. I will do a video on running costs soon once we have owned the car a little longer
@cliffordgeorge73512 күн бұрын
Awesome video, are you planning on going stage 3 with her...
@JacksonStrain2 күн бұрын
Thanks mate, no probably not as a lot of people have said stage 2 is where you keep it reliable and adding a turbo usually means you'll be building the engine at some point. For Letisha's daily this is already more than fast enough but in saying that never say never I guess

@JacksonStrain2 күн бұрын
I did forget to say this in all in AUD pricing and actually also included 5x new coilpacks and a full engine, gearbox and haldex service. So if taking those off the price and then not getting flex fuel or the tuning software its quite cheap for the power gains

$4000 for a stage 2+ for an S3 the makes shy of 300kw on 98. Running this config as soon as the warranty ran out. Started to drink engine oil on the 10th year mark.
@MillieLulu-or1wm2 күн бұрын
Can you elaborate on what mods for $4k allowed you to get 300kw at the wheels for an S3?
@JacksonStrain2 күн бұрын
300kw on 98 or E85? As stage 2 E85 on the RS3 is only 310kw and compared to a stage 2 E85 Golf R (unsure of kw it makes) it's miles faster
