It will be years by the time brave and the bold actually gets made so you could do a time jump to make the robins fit. Or we could actually have Batman and Superman be peers for once in film. @@monopolfilms I mean, I know Gunn is heavily influenced by donner but I don’t know if metropolis will look too similar to the donner version. We’ll have to wait and see. Gotham looks perfect in the Batman. And the ending with Batman realizing he needs to become more hopeful would be a great way to introduce Superman to Bruce’s world down the line. I just think pattinson’s batman is terrific and I want him to be the primary Batman.

I'd call it more gothic/steampunk tech. And as far as him being new in his career I do agree that I wouldn't want to cross them over yet. Maybe after the end of the reeves trilogy and after the second Superman movie.

What sounds silly about this idea, is the fact that Pattinson Batman is not targeted to ever be what Ben Affleck's or comic Batman is supposed to be. He is in his second year as Batman, and is nowhere at the level of second year Batman from the comics. He will stay a grounded Batman, and that is okay... Just do not put his realistic slow punching arse in the new continuity.

Warner Bros is in $40b of debt. They've already missed out twice on having a DCU. Reeves Batman and Gunn Batman cannot coexist. They're not interested in and nor can they afford two wildly Batman properties.

It's not necessarily about the characters themselves, it's also about the whole worlds in general. The batman is more grounded and down to earth, whereas James Gunns world is more fantasy and meta. I promise you if you rewatch the batman you'll realize that seeing meta humans in his world wouldn't really make sense and would fit in at all. Not to mention that the timing would be off since James Gunn world already has had meta humans for decades, and that would clash with Matt Reeves batman since the whole movie was about how the government wasn't used to someone dressing up and playing "hero" but in James Gunn world heroes are already established

From the BTS looks of Gunn's metropolis,he's going for the retro futuristic n civilians clothing ala superman the animated series n DC the new frontier (which the trunks fits brilliantly!).Unless Reeves does some retooling with the batman universe mainly Gotham..looking like art deco style like Bruce timm animated series or noir futuristic like the Arkham city game with zeppelin flying overhead. Then I can see a match-up of Cornswet n Pattinson(in trunks too) when scenes switch from metro to Gotham n back again during the movie..But the way as is of Reeve's batman now..hard no. Bring on the new Gunn's DCU Batman in trunks!

No. Reeves' vision for his Batman and Epic Crime Saga doesn't fit into Gunn's vision for the DCU, not without completely compromising both, and Reeves and Gunn would be the first to agree. First off. Reeves' Batman exists in a world where superpowers, super-powered characters, and super sci-fi tech do not exist. He's made this very clear. Secondly, Reeves' Batman is at an entirely different point in the timeline of his career than the DCU Batman who will have a son and entire Bat Family. Pattinson's Batman would make no sense in the DCU.

​@@Antwannnn Pay closer attention to what he said. He absolutely has ruled it out in those interviews by specifically saying no superpowers or supernatural elements exist in his world. For instance, he ruled out any adaptation of Gentleman Ghost. Instead he talked about maybe adapting borderline sci-fi characters in a hyper-realistic way. He's talking about things like making Clayface a makeup artist instead of a shapeshifting man made of clay. Things like that. I don't see how that fits into a world with aliens, magic, and metahuman heroes who have existed for ages.

Matt Reeves has only made it clear in interviews/commentary. As far as the actual movie itself (+ The Penguin show), superheroes not existing outside of Gotham City remains to be seen. Plus The Brave & The Bold film still doesn't have a script nor another actor cast as Bruce/Batman yet. Not even released concept art for fans to hype. And no release date as of yet. Stuff can still very much change between now and when BatB gets released (whenever THAT happens).

Reeves has made it clear the two visions don't jibe; he has said supernatural elements DO NOT exist in his world. What's sad is that there are great stories within comic books, and Hollywood writers/directors always tries to make it detract from the comics. They can make it either a huge success like reeves has done (being faithful to the comics), or flop bigtime like suicide squad. Hollywood just has to stick to the formula with these characters from the comics and not try to reinvent the wheel with these characters!

He could, he's supposed to have changed after the end of The Batman and by then end of 2 i can see him being a good World's Finest type of detective who acts as grounding for a morally noble Superman. Plus id like to see a Batman who proves his worth because he's alongside a Joker who would break Superman's spirit like he has in the past. Bruce timm has a proven track record but he likes to make Batman and batgirl sleep with each other. Should we indulge him? And it doesn’t have to ruin the trilogy. And how does Batman not fit into it? There’s nothing in the Batman that precludes it from being in a larger universe. And putting Pattinson in the DCU doesn’t mean wrecking dc. I would argue dc is worse off when you have a disjointed franchise. Like the DCEU. I’m not saying rush into making another justice league. But there’s no reason why Pattinson can’t be the DCU Batman except for Matt reeves. One creative shouldn’t have that much control. Batman had never been in the context of being under one person’s dominion except for the Nolan movies and even then, Nolan didn’t plan on making his own universe with multiple spin offs and Christian bale didn’t want to be Batman beyond working with Nolan. Whereas Pattinson hasn’t indicated that. There’s nothing about pattinson’s Batman that doesn’t allow him to fit into a larger universe. That’s like saying year one is too grounded so it can’t fit into DC continuity. We shouldn’t indulge a creative every time they want to do another nolan esque trilogy that walks the razor’s edge between fantasy and reality.

In my opinion it can't work , reeves and pattinson version of batman is nothing like prime batman from comics, it's clearly felt like an elseworld take on batman, also reeves has stated multiple times that his verse has no superpowered elements at all his universe bleeds realism just look at penguin lol, also i personally doesn't really like pattinson's batman i liked it initially but it didn't age well with me too depressing and gloomy with a wierd batsuit and a horrible batmobile which is nothing like batman in my opinion i am not saying it's objectively bad but it's just not for me personally, i am waiting for james to give me a proper DCU Batman with batfamily in a fantastical setting.
