3:33 Bots on tr_walkway don't actually walk, they're moved by conveyors, so changing their walk speed naturally doesn't have any effect. I think you could test for their actual movement speed by: 1) going to the map's settings room nd turning their speed down to zero to turn off the conveyors 2) typing "bot_command all "+forward" " in console to make them walk on their own

Like hitting someone with a really rigid tube, That combined with the fact the bulb almost never does its full dmg, dealing 1/4 - 1/2 in most cases, its basically just as ineffective as the sandoman.

I like the Dalokoh's, I use it for my "average Natascha enjoyer" set, for me the problem of the Dalokoh's is that you need to eat it, so you normally spend a lot of times 4 seconds for only 50 additional health for 30 seconds, which as you said doesn't combine with normal overheal, but sometimes is nice to resist a lot without being a slow beast

Try this with the dalokohs bar: Bring out the bar and eat it. Once heavy begins the eating animation, hold down right click. When the heavy finishes the eating animation, while holding down right click, spam the taunt button (G is default).

The third degree has one really amazing use: Vaccinator hard counter. It pretty much negates your primary and secondary (aka fire and bullet damage) so you are forced to use your melee weapon. The backscratcher is also a good choice but if you use the third degree you either force the medic to stop healing your target or die pocketing that one guy who dies immediately without his gf.

OBJECTION: the gas passer is fun to me. with the dragons furry you can get high damage and then the charge time isn’t completely abhorrent. it can help a team push and is also good for spy checking when your using the dragons furry and it’s harder to spy check. one of my favorite pyro secondaries.

If you want to properly spy check, use stock flamethrower. If you want to use the dragon's fury, then use an explosive flare gun. Gas Passer sucks in every way possible. Takes forever to earn and chances are when you use it it's not going to do anything. 1. You said it helps your team push, yeah right welcome to TF2. they're not going to push in a pub unless you tell literally everyone in voice, or if you're playing in comp (which is 90% dead) 2. Charge time is a whole minute, and what if you're going against vaccinator and fists of steel spam? have fun doing 1% damage per shot. 3. 21:00 Dalokohs has two obscure things about it that make it somewhat ok. Although Standard overheal doesn't increase with stock or other medi guns, it does with quick fix so instead of 375 you get 425. The second thing, All medic overheal (Besides quick fix) Decreases from 150% back to 100% for all classes at the same rate. So even if heavy has more overheal then scout it still takes 15 seconds to decrease, this effect still goes for the dalokohs, you technically keep your overheal for a time but in the end you get the same health.

14:30 The atomizer is actually better than the candy cane in medieval mode as the extra jump allows you to better run from fights you are likely to lose. Medieval mode scout is sorta like a spy where you run around and pick off weakened targets as well as kill people that aren't looking at you and turn 1v1s into 2v1s to win.

I feel like the tribalman's shiv was done a bit dirty. Sure on it's own it's kinda lacking, but when combined with jarate or the cleaner's carbine the minicrit bleeds can actually do a pretty respectable amount of damage especially for a melee weapon. You may be asking "Why not just use the bushwacka?" I find that the TS has two advantages over the Bushwacka, 1. People will still somewhat respect you while using it 2. The Dalokas Bar is my favorite secondary when I play a defensive Heavy without a Medic around (so most pubs lmfao.) It's also very good if you have either a dispenser or a payload cart to constantly heal up your 350 HP. IMO Banana is for solo roamer, Chocolate is for solo defense, and Sandvich is for being pocketed. And I honestly kinda love that Heavy has three viable lunchbox items that serve well in different scenarios.

Another upside to the Dalokohs Bar is that if you eat it after using the Gloves of Running Urgently it will overheal you. Effectively removing the downside of the GRU.

3:32 the ball won't have any effect in Walkway because the bots don't actually walk; they're pushed by invisible walls Personally, I feel that the rule of upsides should also apply to downsides - a weapon's stats can have no effect if it isn't visible on your player model. This is why the Gunslinger - which provides a constant health boost - is always seen on your model. The problem is that it doesn't apply to downsides (or even some upsides) as well, which is really annoying. It's not fun to have to worry about having a health penalty for a weapon that I'm not holding or even thinking about in the back of my brain. I think the Sandman could be made viable again if they removed the health penalty downside and maybe applied some other downside. Let's be real, pretty much every weapons is a direct upgrade over the stock bat, so it really wouldn't be a big deal to have a negligible downside.

I feel like weirdly, the tribalman's shiv is a lot better than you give credit for, or at least enough to take it to a A tier instead of a S. It pairs well with the Jarate if you feel like that 20% damage bonus against you from the bushwacka is causing you to die from pipes and rockets a lot, especially if you're using the Huntsman, which makes you play at closer ranges than normal sniper. Bleeds minicrit, so there's a good chance if you hit a jarate, swing your melee, and run away, your opponent will die.

i'm 90% sure the shiv does the first tick of bleeding on the same tick you hit an enemy with it (making it do 37 damage per hit), meaning it technically does more damage than the scouts bat (35 damage per hit)

In regards to your point on the brass beast, specifically the part about the damage resistance: You don't actually get an effective 375 health, due to the fact that that resistance only comes into effect AFTER 50% health has been lost. Sp instead of 300 x 1.2(The assumed way to calculate effective health), which would actually come out as 360 instead of 375, you its instead do (150 x 1.2) + 150, which comes out to 330. This changes a lot since that extra 30 hp could easily;y mean the difference between life and death.

14:40 Scout in medieval mode with the mad milk and the fan o war can actually be the greatest support asset to the team. Mad Milk large groups of enemies (like you would find on the control points or at the gate when it’s open) and use the fan o war to run in, mark the highest value target, and watch that target die immediately.

Dalokoh's bar would be a 100% viable with even a small buff. Any one of these would do the trick: 1. Stack with overheal 2. HP buff lasts longer 3. Eat the bar faster when at full health 4. 75 HP instead of 50 5. Increase HP healed by bar to 150. To compete with the other options, the bar needs to either lean into its specific niche, or have broader uses. Either make the buff better/more reliable, or make the healing more in line with Sandvich and Second Banana.

I am definitely a brass beast lover. The first ever match I top scored was using that, as well as a streamer was there, and he freaked out that “hoovy time” had top scored. The best way to utilize the brass beast, IMO, is to use it with the dolokahs bar and the GRU. The GRU let’s you get into position faster, while the chocolate raises the threshold at which you get the 20% damage resist(at half hp). With any form of healing or ammo source(dispenser, cart) you become unkillable as well as can fire forever. If you stand ON the cart, you’ll move with it and never have to unrev. It’s pretty amazing when it’s good, but horrible when it’s bad.

Tribalman's Shiv would be fun if they leaned into the bleed gimmick harder. If the other melee weapons are intended as last-resort defence, then make the Shiv the "I'M TAKING YOU WITH ME" option. An easy way to do this would be to make every consecutive hit with the weapon stack bleed damage and time.

Probably a new player. In their defense, it's not super intuitive what's reflectable or what counts as a projectile in this game, especially when you're new.

*Easy Equalizer Fix:* 1. Remove the full-health damage nerf. 2. Add a slower swing speed. Since nobody but spy is using a melee weapon at full health, this would make the equalizer be able to consistently deal more damage then the shovel. The slower swing speed would keep it from being an objective upgrade, while allowing the weapon to still fill its role as a finishing tool.

the valve critic half assed comments aside (lol) i always love these videos, look forward to them :) i do disagree a bit on the dalokah's bar though, just find the utility of having 200 health back every 10 seconds way too big to throw away. i'd never say it's bad, but definitely one of the worse secondaries. maybe i just need to play around with it more

now i know this sounds weird but one of the best things the brassbeast is for is suppressing fire if you can just keep shooting nobody is gonna walk where you are shooting because well the brassbeast fuckin hurts basically making a wall the enemy isnt willing to pass letting your team continue to push up

Mantreads are excellent pairings for Uber pushes with a medic, keeps pyros and sentries from pushing you away from a power play. Best paired with Beggars or Direct hit alongside whip for rushing uber pushes.

For the longest time I thought the small health pack from the candy cane was only dropped if you killed with the actual melee instead if any weapon.

Tribalman's definitely deserves its placement. The damage penalty puts it under the two-hit damage threshold of stock melee versus light classes, even with the bleed effect. However, I feel the Manntreads deserve lower placement. That strafe control is amazing for trolldier, as it makes it so much easier to strafe around corners and in circles to better hit your target. Plus, it makes bhopping easier to do, as you can hear your woosh sound for rocket jumping still.

Why not re balance the equalizer so that you deal more damage between the your health and the person you are hitting? Or what about making it like you deal more damage the more health you have? Just a thought.
