Great vids Andrew, you really put things into perspective. Machine repairs, setting traps and shooting/catching something to eat, fighting the cold and elements man you're the real thing brother. I also have to say I love all the Canada flags you have on and in your buildings, True north strong and free! Cheers and best of luck buddy.

The Wild North vids have really brought me back (thank you Andrew) to my youth. Spent 15 years trapping. 6 of those in remote regions with air or snowmobile access only. Life changes brought me into the corp. job life, kids . But going full circle and back into the wilderness again. Oh I used sling poles for marten with the low box you use. I'll try to find some old pics. Be safe and keep up the tradition.

before cam locks i made my own locks with heavy steel i bent em around a nail each end and bent the heavy wire at a ninety same idea as what was used in the old days on the old longspring footholds. i have also used bent washers. locks are simple to make and there is many diffrent ways to make them but the cam locks are top notch the best. thanks for commenting

Hello Andrew my name is Jeff. I live down in New Brunswick. Excellent videos man. Keeping it real.I have a pretty good sled for trapping its a 93 Polaris Indy lite 340 with a 130" track. Does good breaking trail. You can see my son on it in my vids.I have been hunting deer bear moose and partridge all my life. I have had an interest in trapping but never got into it. The more I learn about trapping ,the more I want to try it.We have way too many coyotes in my territory, so Im getting my fur harvesters license for the first time;and Im going to go after them with snares. I have lots of woods experience will help me and I know how to be out on my own in the woods. Also there are excellent how-to vids on you tube like yours. The effort it takes to trap is substantial ; but to film it all and document what you're doing ,is phenominal.Thank you!

Andrew, you are a very inspirational fellow. I have been watching and learning for some time, and enjoy every minute of your videos. I have been watching my dog grow his winter hair, and by the looks of him it's time to set some traps. I will wax my dukes and set them first part of the week. Hope to fill them with lot's of Coyote this season. This is my first go with trapping and I'd like to say it's all because of you. Go well Andrew. Pete
