I love winter. Everything slows down, there is no bugs, the air is clear, the skies are revealing its grandeur with stars, the Milky way and northern lights. It is silent and peaceful. Wintering is so well described by you. Here in Sweden unfortunately we have unseasonably warm weather, pending up and down in temperature and still no snow. Living in the northeastern parts i think it is odd. I hope it arrives before Christmas. Thank you for sharing.

What a beautiful video and great lessons. I prefer warm weather but I look forward to winter. A time to slow down and rest from the busy time of gardening, yard work etc. I still enjoy the outdoors and just make sure I am dressed for the cold and it’s great. Walks even in the snow is fun when prepared. No bugs to deal with is a good thing. I enjoy looking for footprints after a snow to see what wildlife has visited. Nothing better than sitting by a warm wood stove and soaking up the warmth.

I love winter- it is magical!! I bought better clothes that fit this winter, (lost 40 lbs and found my way) and embrace the solitude it brings…my dog loves the cold. 🥶 ❤🥾🥾🐾🐾

Keeping my fingers crossed that the lakes and canal freeze quickly before the snow comes. I love the different sounds the snow makes depending on the temperature and your footwear. Can you do an episode about the kick sled?

Yes! This is one of my faves too. I love hearing the ice on lakes and ponds crack and make weird 'bloop' noises. I always try to guess the temperature based on how my boots sound in the snow. I'll hopefully get the kicksled out very soon. Just need a wee bit more snow.
