Indycar, 100%. Why? Because I like watching actual racing, not a bunch of rednecks bitching like school girls. Plus, Indycar races on more than just ovals all the time.

Although this may not be the exact way to compare, you could pretty much watch the 2023 24 hours of Le Mans and see the difference between the Hypercar and G56, to see the difference between G56 and Indycar. Indycar was in the same ballpark as LMP1 and LMP1 in the same ballpark as WEC Hypercar. Again, not the same, but similar ballparks.

Daniel Suarezs pole time last weekend was around 1:28. Graham Rahals pole time was a 1:10.1. That's 18 plus seconds difference.

Funny thing is, NASCAR cars are quite fast but they’re just no match for the Indy car. Put it up,against an F1 car and it would get smoked even worse. Probably be 14 seconds behind halfway through the lap.

It's a shame Trans Am isn't more popular. I'd like to see how a Cup car stacks up against TA1 and TA2 cars.

@@apacheheli8753 I know they race on road courses but they are designed for ovals is what I meant. That's why GT3 cars that have a lot less power are faster around race tracks

@@Vellano43 The Gen 7 car is designed for road courses, it's more like a silhouette GT or touring car than a traditional stock car.

What slows the Cup car is the poor aero (purposely designed this way by NASCAR because they believe no downforce makes for better racing), tapered spacer in the intake (but many series have this for BOP or similar type rules), and sheer weight - I don't think any road race cars come close to their weight.

Same outcome, if not worse. Indy can reach speeds of 250mph+, whilst NASCAR can barely reach 200 mph.

Stock cars all the way. If it had engaged in some rubbing before the indycar scampered off, it would have won. Oh, and the NA V8.... nuff said!
