They all have lead parts in different songs. The “guy with the mustache” is Chuck Negron. I was madly in love with him as a kid. I finally got to see them in 1980 and they were amazing. Thanks for bringing back good memories.

7 member band with 3 lead singers, each take lead depending on the song. Corey Wells in all black lead on this song was from Buffalo NY, Chuck Negron in gold top ( with mousetache) is from NY City, Danny Hutton in light blue is from Ireland. Danny is the only original singer left in the group. He's still touring. CHECK OUT Eli's Coming, you get a glimpse into each voice.

In 1983 I saw them live in the back room of a bar in El Paso. it held 750, but there were 1500 packed in. We were all singing with them and they fed off the energy. They have three leads, the one in the striped shirt was part of the First Edition. Try their last "Hit" It's A Jungle Out There.

TDN was one of the biggest bands in the world from about ‘69 to ‘78, with dozens of hits and world tours. They were a staple of radio & TV… 3 lead vocalists was a unique aspect, and also that they didn’t actually write any of their 24 top 40 songs. They found good songs that hadn’t made it, put their spin on them, and made them golden!

They disbanded in '76. Chuck Negron was busted for coke in '75.

Wow! This takes me back to high school in the mid seventies. These guys were all over the radio back then. Talk about things that get lost over time, I had the exact same hair style as Cory Wells, the lead singer here, in my senior yearbook picture in the summer of '75. They all take turns singing lead. Cory does the most, Chuck Negron, the guy "in" the mustache, sings lead on "Joy to the World", and "Just an Old Fashioned Love Song" and Danny Hutton sings lead on "The Show Must Go On" that I remember. Plus, the harmonies.
