He took tons of steriods which is a stain on his remarkable career as a fighter. But that said, he truly was the real deal. His mentality for a fighter was as good as all those in his generation. I would have 3 altogether that were unmatched in the mental game of that era. Evander 'The Real Deal' Holyfield Lennox Lewis And BIG George Foreman. Hell, George said that in his 2nd career as a fighter he never threw a punch in anger, not once! Shit man......imagine if he did! I love all 3 of these boxers/fighters, they truly are worthy fighters for all times. As much as I regard Lennox & Evander though, George scares the living hell out of me hahahah

Tyson would kill lewis man
@byrongammonbyrongammon99375 жыл бұрын
@Shaolin DonkeyPunch ....you're high AF. Lennox Lewis was a shit fighter. Tyson was THE BEST fighter. The man became heavyweight champion at 20 years of age. Neither Holyfield nor Lewis could have beat Trevor Berbick in November 1986. Holyfield needed steroids and human growth hormone in order to compete in the heavyweight division. Tyson was always smaller than his opponents yet...he was always going for the knockout. Holyfield was the toughest?! Holyfield was supposed to fight Razor Ruddock in 1991.......instead he fought old man George Foreman.
@byrongammonbyrongammon99375 жыл бұрын
Jonny Bravo.......put down the drugs....Lewis was a shit fighter........he held and clinched....thats not championship boxing.......that's what bitches do. Lewis was bigger than all of his opponents yet he was always holding and refusing to engage.........look at the first Holyfield fight....no ring generalship.......look at the fight vs Frank Bruno.......fouling with his left glove. He was big, awkward, and unbalanced. Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman starched him with one-punch KOs....because he had ZERO chin. When Lewis got hurt....he held.....when Tyson got hurt.......he punched back. And Holyfield was the most drugged up on gear for this era.......steroids, human growth hormone.

While I was no Lennox fan, when they called that first fight a draw I stopped watching heavy weight boxing. It was so blatantly evident that Lewis dominated the overwhelming majority of the rounds, just plain outboxing Evander, that I lost all respect for this division. Lennox was cheated of a decisive victory and I enjoy these sports to watch champions battle not to see graft or politics or a desire to restage a fight for more money. Thankfully the UFC happened and as far as boxing goes I have no regrets from leaving the sport as an enthusiastic observer.

Because Lennox is also tall and big with a long reach like Fury it could also be a bad clash of similar styles and make for a boring fight.
