I don't think it would be fair to extrapolate my experiences with this company onto any other reviewers. Again, this company makes decent products so it's more than likely that some users will genuinely love the offerings. I do not believe that anyone of the prominent reviewers are being actively paid by any brands for positive reviews.

I, for the record, like their strings and I would probably enjoy their racquet... but this isn't about that, this is about the owner's behavior. There are so many good strings and racquets out there that it's perfectly easy to stick with a company who's product is good AND they behave decently.

Exactly the kind of company you don't want to be a customer of!! An example of how it is done: I ordered the blue overgrip from TruPro, but they sent me the wrong grip, the white one. When I wrote them, they instantly said sorry, sent me the blue one and told me I can keep the other pack! Also, they sent me a set of strings! This is how it is done!!!

Beckett, one of the things i've always liked about your channel is that it is unbiased, with words carefully chosen to encourage or guide. If they can't take an honest review of a product and work on ways to improve it, there's not a single pro out there who would be willing to use or endorse their product which will ultimately lead to their failure.

Thanks for sharing. Fellow longtime racketaholic and stringer here ✋. Kind of same thing happened to me with the company which rhymes with "Miami" 😉 . They made a mistake with my paid order and after (many) months with no replies I made review of the poor customer service. the owner attacked me personally right away with very poor manners. Funny how fast he replied after I gave the review, when earlier there was "no time".😂 As a former entrepreneur myself, it does not cost to be polite and kind to other people.☮️...and just so you know, this happened before the war

Thanks for the video Beckett. It's good to know this information. If a company was sh*tty to you, why wouldn't they be sh*tty to me if I became a customer? It's nice to know how a racquet plays, but if that company has no integrity it's a turn off. I feel for racquet nerds, many factors go into "I want to play with this factor" beyond playability like colour, pro endorsement, company vibe, etc. Nordic Dots gets -10 Harry Potter house points for for this one.

It’s called integrity--and you have it, Beckett. Good on you. I know that Nordic Dots is a small company and they are under pressure to perform. But the way that you establish trust and rapport with potential customers that leads to more sales is to accept honest reviews. Ultimately, if the company can’t stand to see where they may need to course correct they are probably looking for trouble down the road that will be more expensive than if they just tackled the problem as it arose. And being unprofessional will certainly not endear them to anyone. If they made a mistake they need to be the bigger people and own up to it.

Thank you very much. It definitely hasn't been perfectly smooth sailing across the board with larger companies, but I have great relationships with retail outlets which would ensure I have continued access, plus a selection of generous viewers who let me borrow racquets for reviews. I’ve bought racquets that didn’t have great reviews. For this group to go out of their way to attack you is insane to me. Any publicity is good publicity for an emerging brand. Tenncom reviewing a racquet is going to push other reviewers to review it and some will probably like it. Why would anyone want to review their stuff now if they’re going to be threatened with legal action. This is absurd.
@jamesbittle97897 күн бұрын
I like your reviews, but I have to disagree with you on the Model 99. I like it much more than the Ezone 98 that I bought this summer. For me the Model 99 is easier to use, has a bigger sweet spot, and has more power and spin. It's been a while since I demoed them, but I would say that the Model 99 has as much power as the Percept 100 and Blade 100. The Model 99 feels more stable than the Percept, and feels more maneuverable than the Blade. I didn't notice any stability issues either. My racquet is strung with their recommended string (Topspin at 50 lbs). I've probably tried 30 racquets over the last year or so, and the Model 99 is my favorite. I had planned on buying another one when they are back in stock, but now I'm not so sure. I hate to give money to a company that treats people poorly. It's a shame really.

You’re absolutely right about controlling the narrative. Here, it’s embedded in the culture to shape and control the narrative, starting from the early stages of education and extending to nearly every aspect of society. If you think in a way that’s considered “wrong,” you’re seen as the black sheep and often criticized, shamed-whatever fits the mold-by those who are thought to be more developed and intellectual. But at the core, it often reflects ignorance, rigidity, a lack of flexibility, and a big, insecure ego cloaked in arrogance. People are so accustomed to it that they rarely see how it looks from the outside. You’ve really touched on a key part of Swedish culture. Of course, there are good things, too! :)

I know everything is cranked out from like 3 factories in China anyway (except maybe Yonex), but still, not a smart move for someone who's looking to break into the field to antagonize the reviewers. It really leaves potential buyers like me to not even wanting to try it out, as there are literally 30 other similar racquets to try without the drama.

Their attitude has done more damage to their brand than even a bona fide negative review ever could (which is not what you gave anyway). Attacking a reviewer for being impartial is rather short sighted. They can see your content, ability, preferences etc for themselves before they even sent it. It is correct and proper that rackets bought but us normal tennis mortals (I mean that as a compliment) are watched by normal tennis mortals because it is normal tennis mortals that will buy it. We want to see what players like us (the majority of the market) think of it. A Pro players opinion of it is not really relevant because we don't hit like them.
