Ludvig, you are so impressively smart and keen to not reveal too much. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and employing women in your factory. English is a difficult language. THANK YOU! Excellent presentation. I'm currently looking to see if I can find out more about your sailing around the world. Thank you, Malin and Johan.

I appreciate how people around the world try to explain complicated and technical aspects of equipment in English - which isn't their native tongue. I've an ancient Danish heritage - and wouldn't be able to say hello to my ancestors. People who speak more than one language are very smart people.

I love to see how things are manufactured, there is something so satisfying about seeing something new emerge from raw materials. I also think Mary is a very cool boat and I especially like the observation dome near the companionway. It seems like a very nice feature that I would love to have on my own boat, especially in cold climates.
@viltfjall5 жыл бұрын
A plexi-dome might look like a great thing but I'm not so sure anymore. I had one on my boat for years and used it less and less, even in 50-south sailing. After a while its nice to hear and smell the winds, staying in the dome was more of a constant roller coaster with a lot of water to wipe off all the time :)

I’ve been running and managing various businesses for the last 35 years and I can say without any hesitation that - if I owned a company like Rutgerson (or one that actually built sailing vessels), I would most definitely want Johan “on board” as a technical advisor and designer! With his diverse skill-sets, abundant experience & knowledge, notoriety, congenial personality, and his ability to problem solve in pressure situations - Johan would be a huge asset to any of those businesses!!!

Hey, I had a Swedish designed Ketch, by Laurin, better known for his L-28 design, which is great for any kind of weather conditions. Mine was also small, a 28' boat, probably the smallest ketch rigged boat I know of. It was FAST and I was able to clock over 9 knots on that thing! absolutely insane! It was one-off, designed to specification, and built in Karlstad. It was flush-decked, so very small below decks, but the nicest sailing boat I ever owned. So, so fast. NOBODY passed me on that boat! Nobody.
