I appreciate that the Korea Times is talking about the lived experience of gay people in Korea. It is heartbreaking that our gay brothers and sisters still feel so invisible and socially ostracized from Korean society. I am half Korean and understand that ignorance about many social issues is deeply embedded in Korean society. I hope younger generations will make a better, more loving and happy society.

This was such an important discussion---and so intelligently (and sensitively) conducted by the excellent host. Many thanks to Tang, Nicolas, and Ivana---three amazing, articulate and brave individuals who are living authentic lives, and being true to themselves. And thank you, Korea Times, for making this happen!

lol, Korea Times is the most liberal paper in Korea. On a side note: I worked in a Korean restaurant in the States many years ago. Not sure if he was working legally or not, but one of the waiters seemed like he was escaping Korea because he was gay.

There is a thriving gay scene in Seoul. I lived there for 6 years about 15 years ago and most of my friends were gay, women and men and half were Korean
@NamChin846

not really thriving... not even 1% and over 80% of them are foreigners who come here...

@@Dazarabia522 I've lived here all my life and the gay scene is not thriving. the number of anti lgbtqp groups are growing by the day. every university has one, but they don't have an lgbtqp group. during pride month u see mainly foreigners celebrating, meanwhile Koreans of every age protest and give the message "don't bring this to Korea". It is NOT thriving. I know u want people to think that way but no.

lol this channel is for western audience. Koreans aren't into this like western world. we don't want mass lgbtqp here. we don't want pride month etc. in Korea, a majority of lgtbqp people are FOREIGNERS... stop taking ur stuff here. Don't try to force change upon our country! we will NEVER let kids learn about lgbtqp.. never...!
