Ganondorf in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is just straight-up worse than he needs to be, they had the solution in the palm of their hands!

Still stings to this day man. Anyways full video's up now

as someone who knows very little about Smash, the name “wizard’s dropkick” goes INCREDIBLY hard.

I don't know why I watch these shorts when I've already watched the full video. I guess that speaks to their quality.

WIZARDS DROPKICK is an amazing name for a move

I agree that getting custom moves was annoying but it was one of my favorite things Smash 4 did and to see it gone in Ultimate just makes me sad. As a Mega Man fan, it hurt to see all that represenation from the Robot Master weapons get cut out.
@aceg.rookieАй бұрын
Someone on the original video commented something about bringing some of those moves back for a Mega Man echo, like say Proto Man. I’d imagine that would be the most ideal way to bring these moves back.
@shadowsnake5133Ай бұрын
@@aceg.rookie I feel like that would work, so long as they also have him some unique moves/ properties as well, specifically involving his shield, and his stronger buster shot.
@DanKen139Ай бұрын
I don't agree with custom moves being annoying. You might as well not play with any Mii characters if one is bothered by options(Not just change alone). A TON of mofos slept on the potential of such a feature in Smash IV(A-K-A Royal Rumble). Which is why I only agree with ya 2nd sentence with it being one of the best options with S-4. 💩, Captain Falcon had an infinite because of customs. It's literally the only game that you can take most of somebody's favorite character & turn it into YOUR original version of that character.
@JacobSC_Ай бұрын
@DanKen139 I said "getting custom moves was annoying." I actually think Custom Moves were amazing, but the annoying part was obtaining them. It was a long grind and even with my hundreds of hours I didn't get them all.
@DanKen139Ай бұрын
Wait, seriously@@JacobSC_? I never had that issue. Maybe because I knew what to do specifically, but ever character I used in their cool story mode, I got all their moves after a full run with them just once. Lost a couple of times to whereas though I started over. But never played with a character more than once after completing it with them.

ssf2 uses it as ganons default down b even cooler is if you space it correctly, you can slide off a ledge as you land and cancel the endlag, which leads to some pretty sick combos

i thought it was just me that knew about the ledge slide factor lol

If only the king of evil, one of the most known villains in media, could actually be decent in this series for once.

Honestly, I'm actually trying to get all achievements on adventure, and he's pretty alright there. The high damage is too good against bosses.
@DiaSynapsidАй бұрын
If they really want Smash-dorf this bad, I suggest another Ganon as an Echo Fighter. Have one be a more traditional Captain Falcon semi clone, and give the other the sword and custom specials (and an actual up tilt). Dark Blade, Wizard's Dropkick, the uppercut, and the launching command grab.

There’s a very popular suggestion to move gannons move set to the character black shadow from fzero
@OSena34Ай бұрын
That happens in ssf2, his down B jumps I'm the air first
@PlushChieАй бұрын
They did use it as his base in super smash flash 2, the whole character in that game is really cool and unique in general. I hope the next smash game does something similar
@ldubs5884Ай бұрын
Ssf2 did something similar and I will say, it works great. The main reason is because it allows ledge canceling but it’s also useful for neutral
@FlamingBasketballClubАй бұрын
Should have been his default down b move. Glad you mentioned recovery.

This is the feedback we must make in order to make it known what we’re looking for in later iterations.

Custom Moves should've came back for Ultimate. Messing around with them and seeing how certain characters worked with them was so fun.

If they kept this custom move, he would definitely be higher on the tier list because of a secondary recovery option.

The fan game Super Smash Flash 2 used Wizard's Dropkick when you're grounded, but kept the OG while airborne
@Heavensgate6Ай бұрын
I just know casuals would find this move annoying if he ever got it and that part of the reason i believe ganondorf will never be good for competitive play because he's already overwhelming for casuals to deal with. I'm pretty sure his ganoncide got nerfed this time around because they wanted him to be fun to play against in all skill levels for such a easy to pick up character
@chineduj-o6291Ай бұрын
Well, this is in SSF2, so I'm happy

It makes me sad how bland ultimate made all of the characters when they were more interesting and had charm in their movesets in brawl and smash 4. Dedede had waddle dees which were awesome, wario’s bike would break into pieces so he became an item character, zss was also an item character but you had to juggle her items throughout the match so they didn’t despawn, pit could keep his arrows going in circles the whole match and use them when needed but at the cost of constant maintenance, meta knight and pit could glide (which was overpowered on metaknight but could have been balanced) which was cool, etc. I could go on and on how the design philosophy of ultimate makes the game and its characters so bland. It’s so sad
