The rule us not "Don't take Australia." The rule is, "Don't fight for Australia." Don't fight in Australia, unless you're trying to get value for lost troops. It's great when someone like Red realizes this, and it's really a race to see who can get out of Australia. Pete lost that race in this game, and was forced to take Australia.

Pete, in progressive would you ever card skip if you were in the first or second spot? Or does it do more harm then good?

That's a tough question to answer without a little more context. Simple answer, it depends on the situation. Both yes and no based on the type of game and all the moving pieces. What your positioning is (how easily could someone kill you if you skip), do you have a bonus, are you ahead or behind in troops, are you in a fog game where you feel more hidden? I personally take to heart if I can't answer yes to the above questions with certainty then never skip. If you looking for Pete's view on it, definitely check out his progressive games, as he's much more detailed when he's able to go in depth about it, as opposed to a typed message.
