It's not worth it because it's only 2 and is only one blocker, but you're gonna put all your troops to stop it from being broken. In turn, putting you at high risk of losing all your troops in one attack. This being said here lately, nobody breaks Australia allowing them to get too big. It's still not a smart strategy, though.

Pete is gud, but it also helped that green decided to be a maniac from the start and that 2 bots started causing chaos. Most games seem to drag on for an hour or more since people just end up sitting with their bonus having a cold war waiting for the Aus player to suicide into someone. Tale as old as time.

A lot to do with how bad the other players are as well. They were bad. He is good, but depends on others. My fastest game is under 10 mins and my longest is almost 3 hrs.

It would be great if Australia had a sea zone to Madagascar, and also one to New Zealand (with the latter being created), which will stop Australia from being a single choke-point, then bump the value to Australia to a total of +3 bonus reinforcements instead of +2. I think that would create more starts. I also love how despite your aversion to Australia, the game keeps giving you spawn points there. 🤣💀

Yeah, all the content creators say Australia is weak, but my experience is that it's slightly better than any other continent. Also it's safer, which means that it produces more consistent results, while bigger continents give big wins but big losses too.

I played a classic fixed caps 5 player. It lasted well over an hour, everyone played super tight and generally pretty well, and I thought I was playing a higher ranked lobby. Nope. 3 beginners and a novice. Somebody has been teaching these noobs how to play.
