Of the cameos in this one, one that gets overlooked is the Muppets’ choreographer. She worked on this and Labyrinth as well as some other projects. She was the redheaded secretary in this movie. She left the Muppets after Labyrinth to purse an acting career of her own and in the following year became a sci-fi icon as Dr. Crusher in Star Trek: The Next Generation!

There was a made for tv special called A Muppet Family Christmas. Has the whole gang, from The Muppets, Seasame Street Gang & Fraggle Rock. This is super cute movie, I only seen it on KZbin, I don't think its on any streaming devices but adorable all the same. Gregory Hines is a great actor from the 80's, I highly recommend: History of the World Part 1 (it's a Mel Brooks comedy), Running Scared where he teams up with Billy Crystal as Chicago cops, and Tap (1989) which is a musical about an ex-con working as a tap dancing instructor (Gregory Hines is an accomplished tap dancer IRL.)

The lady in the restaurant who you didn't recognise was Liza Minnelli daughter of Judy Garland and star of such movies as Arthur, Cabaret, New York New York and stepping out.

One of the cameos in this is actually more of a creator cameo -- the secretary of the con man is played by Gates McFadden, who was not well known as an actress at the time but was the Muppets dance choreographer on some movies. She later winded up better known as Doctor Crusher on Star Trek The Next Generation.

15:04 "That thing behind their heads" is like a mini juke box. There were diners where they would have one of these on all of the tables. Like a regular jukebox, you would put money in and select a song. They were all hooked up together and your song selection would be played over the diner speakers. Basically it was a way to pick out songs on a jukebox without having to walk over to one and maybe have to stand in line.

Those little mini jukebox things were at tables in diners back in the 60's. I remember after kindergarten I'd wait for my Mom to get off work in a booth and she would give me fries and chocolate milk and a dime for the jukebox. The big hit back then was Tiny Bubbles by Don Ho

I’m a 50 year old southern dude from GA…… But I still love how my brain works while watching a Muppet film! Brain: “Gregory Hines out of nowhere! ….Sudden Elliot Gould!….OMG! Art Karney!” Haha! Pure joy! I think all of Hollywood loved and adored Jim Henson. So very many of them seemed proud to be a part of something so wonderfullly silly! Amen to it! ❤
