To be honest, if you watch the original Russian version, the the mailman's musical numbers lowkey slap and the singing and melody is actually decent. It's just the English dub that ruins them. Considering in the original, his voice sounds more like a regular but flirtatious guy instead of a creepy annoying one, I think this choice in the English dub fits how the animation portrays him more.

How I think the two movies line up. After Pinnochio a True Story, Pinnochio and Bella got married when they grew up.
