The hilarious thing about this is Insym is basically playing as somebody who is obsessed with golf to an unhealthy degree but is also sub par at playing golf.

The lore behind this game is oddly fascinating. There's a reason why the NPCs stare at you like you're a crazy person, why you can't swim, why people have ripped mouths, and so on, I won't spoil any of it but I do recommend digging into it yourself.

Is there someplace where the lore is explained by the devs? My take is that the player is possessed by an elder god that’s defending its human buffet from a rival elder god…with golf, for some reason.) It would explain why the NPCs go from puzzled to scared by your weirdly intense responses, why your thoughts appear in a different font when you wake up the next morning wondering where you are, and most importantly, why you continue to play through each hole unfazed by the darkening skies, mutilated corpses and literal monsters that want to eat your face. (Which is a better excuse for sticking around than most horror game protagonists have, tbf.)

@anondecepticon Not officially from the dev, no, unfortunately. But you're basically on the money in regards to your theory. I have my own theories/beliefs for the god that is inside the player character, mainly that I don't think it's a malicious entity that eats people, unlike what Greener Grass' god claims about it. I think it just enjoys playing golf but has to control people to do so, and it saw the GG god as a threat to its enjoyment of golf, because the GG god was both killing off humans, and making the golf god's hobby difficult to enjoy thanks to the zombies. Probably left the player's body unharmed at the end as thanks for being it's weapon too.

I loved watching you play this game. It does have an interesting idea involving golf. Just a suggestion Insym there is a new game called "Incubus, A Ghost Hunting Adventure". It is made by the devs, darkling room (Jonathan Boakes). They set this game in an actual haunted house and "it blends reality and fiction".😊😊
