“THEY MADE IT A MUSICAL!” pulls back the curtain on the Broadway shows you love, shining the spotlight on the plays, novels, works of art, short stories and historical events that inspired them!
From Romeo and Juliet sparking the idea for West Side Story, to Shaw’s Pygmalion laying the groundwork for My Fair Lady, the history of musical theater has always looked to adapt from the very best- and sometimes found inspiration from the most unlikely sources.
Join a cast of Broadway veterans backed by a live band as they take the Playhouse stage with songs and stories about the origins of Oklahoma!, Fiddler on the Roof, Titanic, Hamilton, and many more.
