I have a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan that I bought new 11 years ago. Pentastar 3.6 and 62TE Trans. Runs as smooth as silk to this day. It's been one of the best cars I have ever owned. Engine and trans still factory sealed and all the accessories are factory. Make sure to take care of maintenance and these vans can do 250,000 plus easily. Do all of maintenance early and don't believe the lifetime trans fluid crap. Keep those fluids fresh and clean at all times.

Hahahah great video. Alaska trip was definitely amazing! ❤So glad you think I have been maintaining things well. Bugs and brake flush is done, just waiting on shocks from RockAuto. Would DEFINITELY recommend Alex The Car Dr. If your in the Atlanta area. Also hoping to take your advice and post more of my travels Alex. Cant wait for your next video!

Yes I had one with the 4.0 that thing was a beast. Wish I never got rid of it. I had the opportunity to get the 05 grand with the 5.7. Don't get me wrong it's been good, has over 250k and just now needing a transmission. B4 ppl talk junk I've never had any maintenance done on the transmission. I've done a lot of towing with it including my trailer for lawn care. Also done quite of off road driving. I've maxed it out on the hwy at about 115mph, so I put it though some things lol

Alex, i had a 2003 grand cherokee with the straight 4.0. the transmission (quadratrack) had issues but i loved that jeep. it was pure bad*ss. p.s. i love the family stuff. i also love alex showing up in his work shirt. reminds me of my dad years ago.

My mom had the car for 13 yrs 239k miles. The transmission went bad due to a trash unlicensed mechanic, BUT THE ENGINE ALWAYS STARTED every cold Chicago winter!

What happens if you don't maintain the brake fluid with flushes

The internal seals will wear out, causing the brake pedal to drop to the floor and no brakes

Hey alex just a quick question just purchase a use car well maintained with paperwork of the Maintenance. But the alternater went out later and i notice the battery looked small for the holder it was Valvoline instant oil change who the previous owner take it too ..battery still in warranty too with receipt. Could i have a case against valvoline to cover the cost of the alternator work plus the right size battery? Thanks alex

Potentially but I think you will have to jump through a lot of hoops and may still get nowhere, it’s not worth going through just my opinion.

lol @ the title. The best Jeeps made have the 4.0L: YJ, XJ, ZJ, WJ and ended with the 2006 Wrangler TJ. ANY engine that requires long block parts to be replaced beyond valve cover gaskets, timing BELTs and the like at a nearly 100% rate before 200k miles is subpar and should not be knowingly purchased whether it be lifters, cam phasers, time chain guides etc!

In the first 2 seconds I knew this was a well cared for car because it had Michelin cross climate tires. When a person spends good money on what many people THINK doesn't matter, they probably spend it on the stuff that does matter.
