A viewer asked me to play the T-129 but I mistook a modern attack helicopter for a WW2 squished T-34 so here we are!
The T-126 is a Starter Pack tank for the USSR tech tree that's a little bit dated and pretty overtiered. The cannon and armour is fine but she's a bit too slow to make everything work!
Oh, we also fly some weird aircraft I've never heard of! :)

Doesn't matter, Gaijin balances vehicles based on game statistics. So while experienced players can wipe out entire other teams with one, this is "balanced" by the hordes of newbies who blunder straight at the cap points over and over.

That 105 Sherman still being at that BR is just disgusting - It's not even the M4A1 style hull with weakpoints players can learn, so if the enemy has one of the many tanks that simply can't pen it from the front then it turns into a complete seal-clubber.

Turret traverse being shit doesn't excuse it at all for being 2.7.

They were significant to the Soviet union for production numbers and the propaganda value of rookie pilots claiming everything they hit as a "kill", regardless of effect. In reality they inflicted less than 2% of combat casualties.

IL-2 is actually more of a fighter-bomber hybrid and can hold up pretty well in dogfights, when USSR lacked enough Yak and La fighters they used IL-2s as fighter planes. Its not like British strike aircraft which have horrible manueverability etc.

The Sturmovic was the most produced aircraft of WW 2 and was immensely effective against German armour. It was a ground attack aircraft not a fighter but was so heavily armoured German fighter aircraft found it a very difficult and dangerous target.

The fact the 105 Sherman is the same BR as the M3 Lee/Grant (the tank it REPLACED years later), should tell you all you need to know about how the BR system is completely arbitrary. Or the B1 Bis/Ter, a pre-WW2 design (from the early 30s!), is the same BR as a mid-war Sherman. I'm not saying "move one up, another down", I'm saying the entire system is fundamentally broken. Or how we have WW2 tanks fighting cold war era RPGs negating the entire purpose of heavy armor, destroying an entire fun game mechanic of using your armor. Absolute hilarity. ... in as much as a complete tragedy + time = comedy. If they fixed problems like that, ghost shells, abusive grind, and using NEW PLAYERS as NPCs to be seal clubbed for fun by 10,000 hour players, War Thunder would have MILLIONS of players. WT basically only exists because there is zero competition for a game that is semi-realistic with tanks.

If you complain about time traveling shit, you’d realize there’s a lot of it all over every BR range. Take Sweden for example. There’s literally a rank one slinging postwar APDS as well as countless other vehicles that are post war fighting prewar and early war vehicles. Take Italy and Britain for example as well. The pasta gokart is from the 80s and a lot of the South Africa line like the concept 3 sarc, the AA trucks are from a similar time from it as well. This game is arcade realism at best. Also even though the Lee was replaced by the Sherman, it still served throughout the entire war.

The only real predators for the Sherman 105 was the Panzer 3 M you could actually trade blows if you knew how to use your side skirts. But now my precious Panzer 3M is overtiered even though reserve tier gun can punch through its frontal armour and it has an abundance of frontal weak spots.

I could not disagree more. The 3.0 USSR lineup is one of my comfort lineups. Its got the T-126, the Yak-9B, and the Il-2 1942. The T-50 is a fast lil brother, and of course the SU-57 and SU-57B are both incredibly fun TDs even though they're only 2.3 and 2.7. Its mostly a 2.7 lineup with a T-126 and CAS but those are the gems of the lineup.

Sherman 105mm got nerfed mercilessly, so 2.7 br is fine because of that. HE rounds can't kill anything and HEAT rounds are working like APCR. M4 105 is useful only against light targets at the moment. As you saw at 5:00 it can't even kill a T-126.

That roast of the IL-2 almost felt personal. I absolutely love it. Easily my favorite plane to just mess around in. The 23mm guns destroy planes instantly in a head on and 2 250kg is pretty nice at 3.0. The only downside is its speed. Its pretty slow.

The t-126 is actually a decent tank to help grind out 3.0 USSR. Most of my progress around that BR is from it. It's not amazing, but it's not horrible, and the armor bounces enough shells to keep you fighting longer than other tanks in the lineup

The beaufighter mk X could make for a very fun video, it has four 20mm cannons that shred german ground units top down, six 7.7mms that are great at leading against aircraft and carries 8 rp3 rockets that can easily deal with open top AA

Ironically in thumbnail you've created borderline perfect light tank for soviets in WWII. T-126 armor and suspension, short 76mm KT-28(though L-10 would have been better. And I know that thumbnail is cut down 20K 45mm) and .50 AA HMG(sadly only as a prop and not on turret). But completely ideal one would be T-50 components with T-126 armor values, T-80 turret design that allows to raise the gun, L-10 76mm cannon, two coaxial MGs akin to T-50, but with one of them being DShK and with hull sides being and hull front being "straightened out" akin to T-70/80 to simplify production. Basically soviet Valentine Mk.XI QF75 with less powerful gun, but more versatile overall.

Comparing this to the T-50, It has better hull armor, weaker turret face armor, and is slower. I actually find these easier to kill then T-50 by shooting the turret face. Oh and when shooting that first Sherman 105, you weren't penning the armor. You were penning the sprocket and the fragmentation was basically ignoring the side armor and just passing through. This is common in WT that fragmentation will ignore armor, not always but often enough.

TheOreTicALly its supposed to be penetrating the sprocket, final drive housing, and gear train. Its hard to imagine that adding up to less the side plate usually. But in a game when hitting the track upper run edgewise will often stop a 900mm+ APFSDS...

For some reason GAYjin hates tanks with working armor (BR wise). Just look at some of the recent (or even from the past) BR changes: IS-2s, 76mm Jumbo, T-44, KV-1C, B1ter ... and so on. Also i skipped both IL-2s from the tech-tree (once there was only 2), do to I have standards!

I quit playing the t-126 because of the br change. It's cannon is horrible above 2.7. Like someone else said, it's insane the Sherman is 2.7 with a 105mm heat shell and just about the same armor with an 11 second reload. The t-126 can't even hurt a Sherman unless it's broadside, it's ludicrous!

I know this is illegal to do in war thunder and on KZbin… BUT it still good at arcade mode. I know that mode is illegal but you can’t flight things that are a br higher the you. And 1 kill = fighter plane 2 kills = fighter/bomber (il2 even at 1.0 Douglas dive bomber ,etc) 3kills is bomber (aka big bomb or lots of bombs) and you can still never even died to use it.. just make should you are in a hiding spot. Arcade mode is good for new players

The IL-2 is "insignificant"? It was the backbone of the CAS regime for the USSR in WW2 and probably one of the most used airplanes in WW2 next to the Bf-109 and it's variants. PS: I had a 12 Kill match with it too but yeah the Armor is pretty much rubbish.
