We went to Arizona this past winter and always cross at the Couttes/Sweetgrass border into Montana and they took my eggs as well, I forgot about the bird flu. I only had 2 eggs though. Hope you enjoyed Calgary that's were we live. We are always happy to come home after 4 months down south as well. Love to travel but good to come home, so I agree with you 100% about that one.

I find these restrictions interesting... There's a duty-free store at the Ambassador bridge Detoit-Windsor border crossing into Canada. You can buy eggs by the dozen, other food products, gallon jugs of milk, beer, wine, alcohol and even fill up your vehicle with gas or diesel fuel, all duty-free when going into Canada. The only restrictions are on the amount of wine, beer, or alcohol due to Canada's excessive tax on alcohol, wine, and beer.

That is interesting for sure. I know the egg thing has to do with bird flu that's been a problem in the past. I guess they just want to make sure you're not bringing major amounts of other items to be sold.
