Why do all these girls with hair down to their butt buy like two of those little Quikblue packets and think that that might be enough to completely cover their hair? There is a reason that stuff is sold in buckets. I always thought that the packets were for touch-ups or really short hair....

I did something most don't do. I watched your video on how to go blonde three times. I had medium brown hair with some gray, I am 57. I bought cream bleach, 20 developer and wella toner t28, natural blonde. Then I watched your how to video again. I used 1 part bleach to 2 part developer, saturated the small sections, put on a cap and waited 20 minutes then did my roots and waited another 15 minutes, checking frequently, before washing out. No burning, no itching, no hair loss or breakage and it came out level 9. Applied the T28 toner and waited 30 minutes with frequent checking then rinsed. IT LOOKS AMAZING!!!! People, HB has given us all the tools to do it right, follow his directions and you will succeed! I am going to send you before and after pics to show you some of us do pay attention, thank you so much for showing me the way!!

Hairstyle info: If they aren’t a hairstylist or haven’t been informed of the correct “hairstylist terms” then, most people don’t understand the correct terms for bleaching/dyeing/coloring hair. “Dye” not only “deposits,” but is most commonly used to lift and deposit too, anywhere from 1-3 levels depending on the natural hair level and volume of peroxide used.

I had an amazing fun + fearless friend in 7th grade (circa 1982) who wanted to bleach her black hair blonde. Her mother said "no", wouldn't take her to the salon or buy her any lifter or dyes, so my friend took a bottle of household/ laundry bleach and used it. The result was absolutely startling. I have NEVER seen such fiery-orange hair with blotches of black in between like hers. Not only that, but it severely damaged her hair and she got chemical burns on her scalp, and the fumes caused her lung issues. I will never understand people who ignore common sense just to change hair color.

As someone who has been doing my hair at home for years and who does my own bleaching, another tip for foiling on yourself that I use is to pain the bleach onto the foil first, then lay your section of hair over it. Your hair will stick to the bleach and you will get a more even application assuming your sections are thin enough and you apply enough product.

When I was young, I also did the brown->bleach->ugly blonde->putting brown box dye over it again - circle. Not only once. It's so frustrating to spend money on ruining your hair, to just have dark brown hair in the end again because the bleaching didn't work. Sometimes you need to learn the lesson several times. Btw. I am a manager at Sally's 🤪and I go through this every day and it's always girls that have dark hair to black hair that always want to go blonde or platinum or pastel and I give them a crash course on how to achieve it and of course they never listen. They always reach for the quick blue and the T18 NOOOO OMG I tell them they're not going to reach that point doing it one time and melting your hair and having your hair break off and they still don't listen then when they do it they come in and it's kind of funny sometimes because I already told them about their hair is going to be orange yellow red hot roots you name it I explain it but they want it NOW they don't understand it's a process step by step to achieve what they want people don't have patience anymore so they just do it on a whim🤔🤔 and then expect us to fix it for them. And then when some look at the box die and it's blonde and their hair is brown I always tell them it's unprocessed hair you'll never achieve that it's just giving you a look see of what it could look like but you'll never get that hair unless you go to a salon and have it done right but I see this every day all day and I really appreciate you. you gave me a lot of insight 😁🍿🍿🍿on stuff that I needed to know and your reactions are too funny and you're very truthful so I feel your pain😤😤 when I see these videos cuz it kills me too I'm like why? And then they wish they would have listened to me or someone that works in the salon but like I said they don't want to wait they want it Now🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
@hollyheaviside84802 жыл бұрын
Okay before I even watch this video I can already tell you what he is going to say she should do. I have watched 2 reaction videos and I have learnt so much. The first thing is because her hair is so dark it will take multiple weaker bleaches to get to a nice light blonde. She should use 20 volume, only cover her ends and length in fine sections. Like ultra fine sections and alot of product. She wants to saturate her hair. She could do this twice close together then wait but ideally every four weeks she should repeat this to avoid getting damaged hair. Then once her lengths are the colour she wants she can bleach her roots becuase these lighten quickly. Then she can use a good quality toner and 7 or 10 volume. Her hair would look lovely. Now here is what I think she will do. She will take large sections, apply small amounts of 40 volume bleach from root to tip, have orange lengths and white roots, bleach it several more times with 40 volume in the same week, maybe even the same day. She will then attempt to lighten her orange hair with toner (probably t80) and end up with uneven shades of orange frazzled Hair that desperately needs a bit of tlc.

I have read that the part 3 on the color remover is an oxidizing agent that will tell you if you rinsed the product properly. If you are going lighter after removing old color, the developer in your bleach/color can reactivate any left over pigments and mess up results. If you test a strand with part 3, it will tell you if you have rinsed enough. I once used a color remover for dark brown pigment buildup, and the result was an auburn color that I could live with. Unfortunately, I did not rinse it enough, and over the next few days the color re-oxidized. I didn't use that same brand, so there was no part 3 for me. So you can avoid that disappointment if you use part 3 or rinse for at least 20 minutes.
