‘They will recover’: CrowdStrike facing ramifications of major outage

Crisis response expert Simon Petie says CrowdStrike “will recover” after they face the ramifications of the major global outage.
CrowdStrike suffered a major outage resulting in thousands of businesses being unable to fuction properly on Friday afternooon for several hours.
“Although they will absolutely take a hit, I do believe that they will recovery because they are one of the best, they’re one of the biggest, and they are on the forefront of providing cyber resilience and cybersecurity in the market at the moment,” he told Sky News Australia.

how did it help people with cash? shops and gas stations were closing their doors because they could not process ANY transaction. no matter if you want to pay with cash or card, if they cannot see the products you are buying on the screen, they will not process you order.

The "Microsoft event" was a bad Crowdstrike update crashing the OS. Crowdstrike works at the kernel level of Windows, which means a mistake can bring down the whole system (unlike application-level code).
