I started using vacuum storage bags for my yarn so i could save space. My stash is larger than id like to admit and condescending them down helped tremendously

I feel that your mom needs some free standing double sided shelves in the middle of the room, like in a library or a bookstore, but for yarn! That would fit more in and be super beautiful!

It DOES look like there's plenty of room in the center of this room, if that's something she would be amenable to. It would definitely be faster, easier, and less expensive than the addition she was joking about.

Hi Ginger, love, love, love. I don’t only see a beautiful room of every kind of yarns but, also of you and mom making lasting memories that each will hold and remember forever. I still reminisce about places our mom took us as children and of all the wonderful things we did as adults, the chats, laughter, tears, graduations, marriages, births and achievements she was there for, how she held us when we were sick or afraid but most of all the love she showered upon us. These are memories that will be with me always. I now share them with her grand and great grandchildren. Enjoy the memories you both are making.

I'm glad you are able to help your mom and both of you get to spend time together too. I have to organize my yarn too, it's taken over my house. I need to look at it more as a blessing and not chaos and figure out how to work my stash down and not buy more yarn. I did make a bed runner once with my premier puzzle yarn, two strands held together and I did the tunisian chevron stitch. It came out lovely. Maybe I should try to design a cardigan like that. ;). I reached my 1st level of monetization over on my channel.

I started watching this on a coworker's computer, where I wasn't logged into KZbin. The vast majority of my stash is 4 weight acrylics, so I have that subdivided by brand and color into 2 sets of cube storage shelving in what used to be my daughter's bedroom. A few of the cubes hold my cotton stash and what little wool-blend & 100% wool yarn I own. Any machine-washable 3 weight yarns are in 2 large popcorn tins (the kind people buy as Christmas gifts). Any yarn in hanks (mostly from Kickstarters) is in a 3-drawer plastic cart in the yarn room, and the 5 & 6 weight yarns are all in a tall plastic "pantry" cupboard in my bedroom. (And there are just a couple of bags which haven't been put away yet!) I keep trying to use up stash, but it shrinks VERY slowly . . .

OMG ..The Best Way I got rid of a lot of my yarn..I made oversized 3 strands blankets w a P hook..it was fast n easy..live n NYC ..very cold ..made some for family members Too.. simple stitches...make scarfs n cowls for the homeless too.❤

You can send them blankets with exact measurements or Granny Squares some with 5 others with 6 inches……

I knit and crochet. I have a question - I want to knit the pressed flower shawl pattern and I’m having problems finding a color changing yarn in a wool blend . I didn’t want to order from another country because the shipping is high. Do you think a wool for the solid and an acrylic color change yarn will mess and do ok ?
