Thanks for the update! Loved the look at the interior of the cabin, and private promenade. The lighting was much more realistic for that era. Also picked up on the hissing of the space-heater. Nicely done! Very much looking forward to the latest Demo 401, as well as Project 401. Keep up the great works! :)

..My GOD ! !...I was already enjoying a lot what James was discussing about...But this video towards the end simply took my breath away !!!!... Especially. .the stunning 3D visuals of H&W arrol gentry...You guyz are ACTUALLY digitally reconstructing Titanic just like she was being built 112 yrs earlier....You guyz are really a different group of artists/creative people. .who are very futuristic with their thoughts & always ahead of their time...Thomas Andrews would've been so happy if he had seen your work...And of course, the incredible sound design by Andromeda Sound is indeed fascinating...I was using a Swedish made app called 'Sound Beautifier' throughout this video & at the end when the last visuals were playing, I was able to listen to the different instruments playing at the same time with high quality stereo effects. .such as the orchestra, the ocean, space-heater & clicking on the mouse...What a great. . great quality of work..WOW!!!...I can't imagine enough what Project401 gonna bring us when it releases let alone the full version of the game project. .or, a virtual interactive immersive 3D museum with a lot of game features in future....I just hope to live that long only to see this project in its full form... . #nevergiveup 🤞🏼👍🏼✌🏼

Thanks for the update. About the end was so beautiful and the music was lovely. I want to think the people in 1912 would have been so impressed with what you guys have been doing. I watched the sinking of the titantic 14th to 15th and loved it alot and the great guests. Wow loved seeing the building of the hull and seeing the ship there being built. Wow going to see Titantic again soon and i can't wait. I am so glad i found this channel.

As many hours as I've spent on the wonderful demo, it's a special thrill to come across something new that I never noticed before. I had read somewhere a while ago that there was a kennel on Titanic, that it was located in the 4th funnel. I had never noticed that you can see it. There is a door on the boat deck, aft side of the 4th funnel, port side of the aft wall. The door has a window with bars on it. The door doesn't open but you can look through the window and see Titanic's kennel inside.

As far as the expedition goes, an idea or rather area to explore, have the cargo hold one up on the bow, has a ROV been in there much or is it too badly damaged to explore the cargo areas in the bow area in general. Most of us wanted the game and it feels like it will never come.

If you have been following THG for years, and recall that it started as a game where the main character was a fugitive or some like that, then they had their internal issues which was public, some folks left the team to make their other teams, yada yada. In summary their business model changed from a game to more of a virtual museum and along the way other projects. Trust me I've been on this since their first unreal Titanic demo in 2014 or 2015.. forgot already since literally it's been a decade or so. To your point there's never a straight answer on this, so for many that contributed including myself will never know. Based from how everything is getting redone and additional items constructed/added such as building from the keel and up you know this is going for the long haul, also with so many projects on their belts, a recurrent stream of revenue is the key factor here, so my friend you will have to wait a very long time for completion even of the virtual museum. Glad they are making progress and they have expanded in other areas, but I fell out love years ago. Perhaps one day when it's complete I can just go to Steam, buy it and move on.

Virtually everything was gutted from Britannic during WW1, they'd probably be better off visiting locations that have fittings from Britannic built into them which i think they did a while ago when Tom was leading the project

If you want to see something cool. Get a digital version of Cameron's Ghosts of the Abyss and stream it to Skybox VR on a Quest headset. Preferably in the Moon theater on large curved screen. Now you can experience the wreck right on the comfort of your couch. 🙂

With the success that is finally coming your way, this feels like the next leap in Titanic's story coming to life for old fans and a generation of new fans. I feel it is on the scale of the 1985 discovery and 1997 film if not more so, what the THG team is doing is completely unique and unprecedented.

I just wanna say, I think it would be really great, if an animation studio in Hollywood would collaborate with this team to create a movie showing an accurate depiction of exactly what happened that night. Like a remade “ a night to remember”

I’ve always wanted to see what’s left of the 1st class lounge and the reading and writing room but that area is generally overlooked on wreck dives footage. Yeah I know it’s on the break up zone and is collapsed but there must be something left. Some small hole big enough to gain entrance to see what is left of those spaces after Titanic broke up. It might just be possible to get in there. If it was possible to get into the Turkish baths and to squeeze through the gap to gain access to the 1st class dining room so why then not explore more of the break up zone. And also to get inside the stern. I’ve seen many shots and footage taken of the stern from the outside with the occasional close up but no one ever seems to have tried to actually find a way around the damage and into the stern to see what is left of the interior. The rest of the pursers office on C deck 1st class. I’ve seen dive footage of the office and the safe but what I want is to see if the wrought iron and wood dividers that were outside the pursers office are still there since I’ve yet to find any footage of them entering the office as all the footage showed the robots cameras already in the office. The D deck and A deck pianos are they still there? Where is the 1st class elevator cabs. The shafts have been shown but the cabs are nowhere to be found. Wouldn’t it be cool to explore the lifts and find the cabs. The first class corridors very little has been shown so far as to what’s left of them. D deck The squash court? The missing cherubs. Only one has ever been found. I’d love if it were possible to find the others and the Honour and Glory crowning time clock. I bet it’s still there fallen down the staircase shaft.

May I say that I thoroughly agree with this? I’d love to know what’s inside the swimming pool as well - may be the most intact part of the ship given it is entirely sealed. Now, I comment to not that odds are the clock is completely gone, just like the rest of the Grand Staircase…the wood may have broken out as the ship sank but whatever was left was eaten by the worms long ago, sadly.

THG had a rocky start, of that there is no doubt, and the way things went, it may as well be described as becoming a wreck of its own. Some of those early backers may still be salty about their expectations (you encounter them here and there). What should not be forgotten is that those earliest backers gave this project enough steam to get off the ground. By getting off the ground, the project earned the privilege of the mere OPPORTUNITY to become a wreck. In that wrecking motion was the opportunity to save the project and become this beacon of light and optimism that it is now. Hats off to the THG team for adjusting course and getting this far. It looks quite certain that we will indeed make New York in this life after all 😉

I would like to see an expedition map out and properly catalog much more of the debris field. We could probably discover many interesting artifacts that have not been seen or known since 1912. I know that's a large area to cover but honestly it should have been done decades ago. It would also be nice if multiple cameras could be mounted to one or more ROVs to sweep the floors or seabed for elusive artifacts or details. Everyone wants money shots, and I understand that, but time is running out to learn as much as we can about Titanic.

9:23 regarding the lights aboard Titanic, I was under the impression that they were Tantallum lights, rather than Tungsten? Tungsten cage filaments tend to be in that orientation, whereas the Tantallun lamps tend to have much longer and possibly two sets of cage filaments (because of tantalluns lower resistance). There isn't much out there in the web that specifically covers the bulbs themselves, but I have heard that them being Tantallum mentioned a few times. Also have heard reference that that specific orange glow as power diminished being characteristic of Tantallum lights. Bit of a specific question, but does anyone know any better resources?

14:45 Why the exterior doors? Did the B Deck suites with private promenades have their own private gangway so they weren’t forced to board alongside their lesser peers at the regular 1st Class entrance?

To my knowledge those were for the luggage of said suite passengers. So they didn’t have to toss their luggage in with everyone else’s or something. I can’t confirm that 100% but I believe that’s what those were for!

Great work! Really enjoyed the animation. To the people hating on THG, they abandoned the story mode and survive sinking, that has held the project down for so long. In their updates says this is a new direction. By not making the same mistakes that were made when those original ideas were used, and actually be able to move forward. The new Demo uses models they made in the past that don't fit 100% for a full interior, so the new hull model you see here will make that possible. Also, the animations Jack makes is of existing assets to help make money for the team. He works on these animations with his own team and takes no time from THG.

The sinking elements are static moments in time at key locations. Unfortunately no progressive flooding with water raising from the floor to the ceiling let alone from bottom of the ship to the top.

I love the 401 Demo, its fun to explore... But what about the H&G game? Full passenger and crew NPC´s? For now its just like a tour and gets boring quick... I think the NPC elements is where it becomes hard and difficult. The stage is believable and fantastic looking, but will the NPC´s?

..It's still in their plans somewhere. .but not until the ship is fully done...Since it's now their prime focus....Derek Verveer said on his reddit that 'Of course we'll not stop just there once the ship is 100% completed. There'll be much more stuff we'll continue doing with this ship model'.....Implies the development & addition of the most wanted Sinking Mode to the game with highly accurate details... .
