Our families great uncle Bill is on the memorial, visited with my sister a couple of years ago. A remarkable place for a remarkable generation god bless all of them.

My Mum's only Brother Arthur Frank Wilson has his name on the memorial. I have spent many hours there on visits from Australia where I came to live in 1970. Frank from Australia

My GGG uncle is on this memorial, Fred Atkinson killed in action 7/8/1916, his body was never recovered

Please can you clarify. I was told there can not be a grave stone without a body, is this true? My Gt Uncle is on that memorial, his body was most likely buried in a mass grave, he was killed within half an hour of the first day of the Somme.

Beautiful and serene place. I personally loved it there, and the memorabilia avaliable is also stunning to look at and read about.

Roger Waters grandfather is buried here. He visits the grave with his children, in the bluray release "The Wall" He also visits his father's grave in Italy(WWII)
