Reading some comments on here, I didn't realize there were so many Scott Gorham bashers among Lizzy fans. Gorham may not have been as technically skilled as Gary Moore or John Sykes, but Gorham played with heart. There was substance as well as style to his playing, which is a hard combo to get right. Gorham is a great guitarist, really underappreciated

Snowy seems to be the same with people bashing him but not seeing how amazing his own music really is, Snowy just wasn't the right guitarist for Lizzy

Ireland's greatest rock band - bar none, & that includes U2 who sold out to US imperialism. Phil Lynott is a genius who has never received the credit he deserves. He created a unique sound and wrote some of the greatest classic rock songs ever, like Jailbreak, Renegade, and the Boys are Back in Town, ably aided and abetted by Brian Downey and the two geat guitarists, sometimes three. Phil was a great bassist, creative artiste, and a charismatic front man. RIP son of Ireland. The Black Rose holds you close to its heart.

Whatever you say, I don't hear the audience complaining. Snowy White did a fantastic job, Chinatown and Renegade feature some of the finest harmonies, solos and riffs among the entire Lizzy discography catalog. Too bad he came into the picture once Lynott & Gorham were into heroin. Absolutely underrated guitarist, who needs Moore or Robertson, I insist!
@RG-ms1ou7 жыл бұрын
You're either trolling or utterly delusional! Bell, Robbo, Moore and Sykes all smoked Snowy White, in every category of guitar playing. White only got the gig because Phil & Scott were totally fucked up on heroin. White is a blues guitarist, at best. That style normally translates over very well to rock and metal, but White just didn't fit. I liked the songs Renegade, Chinatown and Killer on the Loose. The albums though were weak as piss, overall. Black spots on an otherwise excellent discography. Live in concert, White was dull as ditch-water. Boring solos and no movement, no interaction with the audience. Just nothing. It nearly killed Thin Lizzy

This song was written mostly by Gary Moore and no other guitar player ever came close to playing it as it was written. Add that to the fact that Lynott and Gorham were off their faces and Snowy White would have preferred to be off window cleaning and you've pretty much got it. And as for the ridiculous keyboards loitering in the background! Thank Christ for Brian Downey.

Dressed like he was when he was 20 and playing like he was when he was on heroin!
