I was driving back from Yorkshire in my lorry, really depressed and wondered where my life was headed, I had 'Lizzy' on a cassette tape, and when "Cowboy Song" came on, it cheered me up no end, and things didn't seem so bad afterwards.

damita Smith I love it, obviously You didn't, and neither did I, we have to remind people sometimes that we (our people) have been about music since we arrived here in ships against our will, but singing anyway. We have continued to make, create, and revolutionize music ever since. I am grateful to Little Richard, Bo Diddley, and Chuck Berry for Getting this party started Right, and also groups Like Living Colour for continuing with pride and style.

Brilliance..sheer Brilliance!!! Ive seen Lizzy play in my home city of Newcastle Upon Tyne in England, at the City Hall & although not a huge venue.. Bands love playing there as it was built in Victorian times specifically for sound! So it has a quality hard to define but bands say its one of the best places to play because of the sound quality & how it reverberates like a Boomerang Seeing Thin Lizzy play there about 6 times all told & they were even better live than on a recording, just outa this world Phil will never die in the hearts & souls of musicians & fans everywhere... Definitely underrated. You request a Thin Lizzy song on the radio (don't specify which) and I'd bet about 99 times out of 100 it would either be The Boys Are Back In Town or Jailbreak because none of their other songs get any play time. I would say in no particular order my favorite 3 Thin Lizzy songs are this one, Whisky in The Jar, and Boys Are Back In Town.

I saw Lizzy at Hammersmith Odeon. They were SUPPORTING Bachman Turner Overdrive, who were touring on the success of "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet". Way into the BTO set the crowd was still chanting Lizzy...…. Lizzy...... Lizzy

Had the privilege of seeing then at the Apollo (Glasgow) in 80, this was the line-up, truely awesome. Can only image what it would have been like with Robbo playing the second solo -
