John SYKES is my favourite guitarist. No matter who he plays with, he adds another dimension to the music with his exquisite powerful guitar riffs and solos. This was an awesome Thin Lizzy lineup.

Scott Goram IS the lizzy guitar sound, NOT sykes. They did well enough b4 fan boy favourite, and would have done equally as well if they hadn't had him in a later line up. Still i suppose Lynott knew what he were doing hiring Sykes. Still have been far better with lizzys classiest ever guitarist on stage Gary Moore. Now he were a real guitar god. Ps my total admiration for Sykes, it must have been extremely painful and difficult to play with all the fan boys licking, or crawling in and out of his arse 24/7🤣

34 years ago tonight. Cold Stone Sober. Cold Stone Sweat. They had become a heavy metal band by this point, due, I'm sure to Sykes' influence, but this song is a true classic.

No, every thing in lizzy werre Phil Lynotts influence. He were the real star in that band, always had been. Sykes were just therr cos lizzy needed a guitarist at the time.
