@@phenixreturns I would have liked them to have played "Got to give it up" and "Opium trail," but everything they did was solid here. No complaints from me. I wonder why Brian Downey isn't playing in this line-up. Would have been the closest to the real thing pretty much.

I have this on cd and i think its a really cool album. I managed to see this line up twice around 2000 in dublin, great shows, I got the bootleg tapes of it too from an old music shop in dublin called rythem records which is long gone unfortunately. I was right up at the crash barrier on both occasion and some bang on security guy gave me a couple of john sykes's plectrums.

John tried to keep the Phil Lynott legend alive. Too bad some of Phil's tributes didn't include him. John I think it's a shame we haven't seen you in years. You're so talented. Where are you ? Normally records like this are half baked and a cash grab, but this time it works. Doesn’t hurt that this is a killer lineup that gels. Play this with Gary Moore’s tribute for a jolly good time.

This is a good performance, for what it is. Sykes is great, Gorham solid as always, Tommy is one of my favorite drummers ever. But,....IMHO, Phil & Brian were the heart of T.L. They're not here.
