@@TNCtheband We’re required to follow the instructions of the customer so long as it’s not illegal. I’ve had to deliver to back doors so many times and it’s sketchy as hell. Always looking around me thinking someone’s gonna come out of the house with a gun.

@DankSlurp my managers told us not to do back doors especially not if there's a fence. Front door, garage or side door depending on the customer request or whichever is closer. If there is fence or a gate then we leave it at that. I also never deliver without my gun on my hip

Exactly. I had a customer literally change her instructions after I marked her package undeliverable. The original instructions had “DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED” which were old instructions she forgot to change. She complained and my dispatcher called me about it. Luckily it was the same dispatcher I called earlier about the same package.

I've had delivery/driving jobs for 30 years. The best one was working for a parts warehouse. Only delivered to garages, and it had good pay/benefits. In case anyone is looking into parcel delivery. It's an overlooked niche. No automotive knowledge required.

@@ProfessorSnape22 Parts Plus is national. They have automotive stores for the public, but the supplying warehouse is what does deliveries to garages. Other automotive stores in your area likely have the same deal.. a store, and a warehouse. That's who shops call when they need parts for repairs. Everything from oil to brake pads to starters. Also, company vehicles, so no problems there.

I use to driver Amazon and I use to love it but then they got crazy with the number of stops. And the customers were weird, ppl would run for the lives when they saw me coming. There was this one time I was putting these large boxes into the person’s open garage and then they closed it on me. So I left the rest outside for the garage door. Another thing with AMZ is you are always at fault. If someone steals a package, it’s your fault. On a positive note, I did lose a lot of weight. Would I do the job again? Nope!!!

Haha, I bet the UPS driver says he hates me, too, with all the stuff I get. Being part of Vine reviews makes it worse because I may get a box daily. The UPS guy is nice, he probably looks at my house as "job security." I live in the country, so there are no Amazon Drivers for now.

Since I started, it seems like they have changed some things, so it may have been when they expanded to more reviewers. My reviews are mostly with pictures and have 3-6 sentences of my real-world use.

Our DSP says no rear doors. Especially in country routes, and ghetto areas. Today's route was hell. 1. 190 stops with 31 group stops. Half the group stops were 3 or 4 locations. 2. No chair dolly for heavy packages. 3. 67 commercial packages. About 23 commercial stops spread out. 4. Phone kept lagging bad. 5. Phone hardly held a charge. 6. Poor reception once I got to my residential areas today. 7. Lots of backtracking and backing up do to poor route design. 8. Had to gas up before route started do to mobile shell gas company not filling up my van for some reason. So route started late. 9. Dog almost got me. 10. Lots and lots of left turns onto busy main roads. 11. SO MUCH CONSTRUCTION. Had to walk by foot 14 stops due to 3 streets being closed off. Half of those group stops. 12. By 5 pm, rush hour I got 7 stops on a very busy main road. Almost got hit even with hazards on. 13. Found 2 packages that were pickup fails so had to go back deliver them at end of my route. 14. Last 35 stops, 16 of them were group stops with last streets being very inclined. Almost fell on my tushy. 15. Side door of CDV doesn't stay open, so had to wrap seat belt around it. 16. Driver side turn signal light / hazard light was out. 17. Had a retirement home but had to deliver each package separately. They don't have a locker system. It's a dam miracle I got a rescue or I would NOT have been able to finish that route. Would have taken me 11-12 hours to finish it. Absolutely ruthless route. No time for a break.

169 stops was heaven for alot of us faster drivers. Getting 220+ everyday was madness, but you get use to it over time. I was smiling when you ripped that paper up . Man this was so enjoyable.

Yep couldn't care less for the delivery feedback, mines always at 100% so it's not a big deal, but like i can't help that you're package was given to me in 4 different pieces what do you want me to, you got it didn't you? But I'm pretty sure I should have been fired by now, I've technically ran 2 redlights according to Amazons standards, but my record says 0 infractions so I don't know. And i get a parking brake violation every day, because I'm too fast for the cameras, but again my record says zero.

spent a week working for flow logistics (amazon) eyes opened there app is crap there attitude to drivers is beyond belief i viewed shit in delivery bags bad training . apps that did not work 30% off the time believing this was my fault . i asked for extra training they tuck there van back and did not get back to me . i still had the app for a week and on monitoring this chat on wots app . the discovery that i was not alone every other driver had the same problems i had . do not work for flow in UK.

I started with my dsp here in Jacksonville, fl and i hate it first days the sens me to a good route 150 to 169 stops per day but since two days ago the send me to a fucking route with 41 stops but with two or one stop with 40+ packages to one location that is impossible to find access 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ another thing i hate about my dsp the make me do rescue if im done early like my reward for doing a good job is getting more work🤦🏻‍♂️ and someplaces dont feel safe at all
