Love me some Patsy from time to time. A great loss. I always wonder what other treats she had in store for us. We lost her at the height of her popularity. She was of staggering talent! Rest in peace, girlie! You’re missed to pieces!

I can barely remember the announcement on the radio that day. Very sad. As a former GA pilot, by the description of what was found at the crash site I would venture to say that the aircraft was overloaded and the pilot only carried a VFR rating. Was there ever a FAA investigation carried out? Today removal of anything from a crash site Carrie’s a federal penalty for interfering with a federal investigation. Every critical piece of the aircraft and its controls must be accounted for to aid in determine the cause of the crash.

@jamesmontague16229 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, that was common back then. For example, after the Buddy Holly plane crash, some people visited the Valenzuela household (Ritchie Valens) under the pretense of paying respects. However, they stole some of Ritchie's belongings RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS DEEPLY GRIEVING MOM! Connie Lemos, one of Ritchie's sisters, recalled telling some of those people to put those things back in their original places. Some items, such as at least one guitar and some clothing, have never been returned or found. 😢

The pilot is to blame for the crash. He was warned that weather conditions were not suitable. The stars were offered accessible accommodations to stay overnight, but the pigheaded pilot said no.

My dad when he was just starting out into the ministry singing country gospel, patsy cline gave him his first equipment to start out with. She encouraged him to do a recording and he did. Later my dad became a pastor and retired just last year in August. My dad is not a person to brag so I don't no much more than that of her. But I no he said he would always be grateful that God used her to encourage him and help him start in the ministry.

Kady Lang reminds me a little bit of Patsy Cline. She had such a dreamy melancholic beautiful voice. There will never be another. I wish fate had allowed the two to possibly do a collaboration. Maybe someday someone will do a mashup.

My mom loved patsy! My dad was overseas, mon would cry over the HiFi, record player!! All hours of the night! Playing patsy cline; she oil painted beautiful pictures!!! But pasty was her inspiration!!! We lived in Kansas,dad was navy!!! Top secret, stuff! He'd bring home 5 gas masks and we'd play elephants!!! Anyway, i dont think my mom would have made it without pasty!!! We were stationed in Olathe Kansas in the middle of no where! Mom was taking care of 5 kids! She held it together by playing, and singing, pasty Cline!!! She was painting away, but god forbid when she started singing she could not!!!owazt!
