Everything on the kitchen should come from "legacy" brands. It means they've been around for so long, even your mother and grandmother will remember the brand. They're not always super expensive either. The bag from Japan, it's true it's frustrating to spend more than you could have spent, but if you like the bag you should use it and that feeling will subside. Take the tags off and use it, if you really like it, then this shouldn't be such a big deal. Life is too short for that kind of thought. Happy holidays.

I don’t know if you just misspoke, but don’t put your nonstick in the dishwasher! They will last much longer if you just hand wash. I’m in favor of spending more on a good nonstick, but they’re never going to last forever. You do need to replace them when the coating starts to flake. Handwashing will mean that you can keep the pan alive a bit longer.

It looks like the enamel on the ring wasn't dried properly or it was enameled while the surface was either wet or greasy at some point. I used to work as a jewellery enameller.

Non stick pans are a total no no cos they are toxic when the costing is off. Cast iron pans are the way to go. Le Creuset is one of them since 1925.

Coach needs to step up and make this right for you. I too have a collection of high and mid range bags. Of which several are Coach. Buy All-Clad pans and don’t put them in the dishwasher. Their nonstick surface is excellent, and you can easily wash them quickly in the sink. Putting any nonstick pan in the dishwasher can damage them.

I ordered 3 different Coach bags this year; every one had some defect which lead me to return all of them. I have sworn off Coach bags and will no longer be purchasing any more. As for your multicolor; it is a beautiful bag in immaculate condition. With the re-release of the collection you could sell if for more that you purchased+your taxes. I think you got a good deal...wear her and enjoy!!

I have one non-stick fry pan to cook eggs in. I like it for that purpose because it creates the illusion of a fried egg without so many calories or expense. Other than that, I don't use them for the reasons you have raised. I shudder to think what I must be ingesting if the non-stick surface lifts! I would be annoyed about the situation with the Coach backpack also. Odd that they would not fix it. I have been in Coach boutiques with bags in perfect condition and they have offered to spa them gratis! Thank you for the video!

Hi Sophie, thanks for sharing. I think it's trully impossible to not have 1 bad purchase unfortunatley. Sorry to hear your Coach bag was faulty, however I think even if they gave you a new one / repaired it, it's a reflection of the lack of quality on that particular bag. I do think that your ring is unfortunatley not faulty. Enamel is not a strong material compared to certain gemstones and the design is very delicate, it sticks out and is curved so the enamel isnt very protected. I think it was intended to be a dress ring but I also think that the salesperson should have told you that.

The hardware on my Coach was turning..the outlet took it, sent it back for me, no charge. The warranty was within the year. I ended up selling it, was too small. It was a pretty mint green.

The Gucci bag is stunning, real shame about the ring, it's so pretty. Maybe ask the shop about getting a replacement or repairs? I still think an enameled pendant or a pair of earrings will be beautiful. However, they are not as durable as diamond jewellery in real precious metal. ❤

I have Coach backpack and it wears great! You probably were unlucky to get a defective one. I have at least a dozen Coach bags and I've never had a bad experience with leather. The only negative thing - their gun metal hardware peels after maybe a year of wearing a bag.

There’s one perspective I’ve come to after living in the US for some time. All labor should be compensated (unless you really want to volunteer for something). You perform a labor creating KZbin content and you’re more than entitled to compensation for it. Obviously, if adds perpetually infringe on the quality of your content, it may hurt the viewership. But inherently, there is nothing wrong with including adds in your videos. You do work (a good one, judging by number of views) and you’re entitled to compensation for it. As simple as that.

Hi Sophie, I just LOVE you picking the pan as your best buy of the year🤣. In 2023 my best buy was hands down a compartimented garbage bin with infra red sensor to open it😝🗑️🎉. It the life fase were in. But a good pan..is worth so much, next time I’m in the UK I’ll make sure I have a check in suitcase to get that pan at John Lewis. Love your video and videos in general:-) I bought my first and only ( don’t think I would consider the brand again…)coach bag , I have been told that it has a kind of warranty and if anything goes wrong they would repair it, I literally used it once!! Only one morning for a brunch!! The hook of the handle broke, I did contact them straight away, they confirmed that I was still under warranty, took three days to come back to me and saying they the bag was discontinued and that they can’t repair it!!😢 I was extremely disappointed and I made it clear that it wasn’t right to assure me that I would have a warranty and at the end have this ridiculous service.. they apologised and offered me a 10% voucher for any next purchase…. I obviously never bought anything from them again and don’t even use that bag…. I can’t sell it be a it’s defective..it every frustrating!!!…

We only buy pans that are more on the expensive side. You will get a lot of use out of it and they last for a long time. Some pans have toxic layers under the non stick layer and that is bad for your health. I totally understand what you are saying about the Coach bag and the flower ring. In my opinion they are both defects. And i think that you are a person who is careful with her accessories and clothes, so i really believe they are defects. Coach should give a new bag or at least repair your bag. And the shop from the ring should give you another ring or a refund, but to be honest i think that the enamel would chip off again very soon with a new one.

Euww, that white spot on your Coach bag means their leather is not drum dyed so the color permeates all the way through! Coach quality is very unpredictable, so unreliable IMO. Some of their bags are outstanding, others quite poor. I have a Coach Small City Tote that has aged very badly indicating cheap, chintzy leather. Sad.😕🤗

Unfortunately, with enamel rings, it is a nature of the beast as enamel is notoriously fragile. If you love enamel jewellery it is better to opt for earrings or pendants and even with those you need to be extra cautious and store them carefully.

Oh Sophie that’s not on re Coach. I can’t remember when you said you purchased the bag but at the time you were covered by the Consumer rights Act Section 23: Right to repair or replacement. In fact as it was only a few weeks old when the fault developed and the bag showed no signs of abuse you were entitled to a full refund. P.s Take the ring back

There are multiple Les Nereides boutiques in London. Brand offers lifetime warranty, I had pieces ( necklaces, albeit from their de luxe three rows range), which I purchased years prior, brought in for repair, no receipt, it was taken in with no questions asked and no charge for repair. I personally prefer Covent Garden boutique.

I get the cringe on all of the bad things that happened with Coach (I feel they are a pretty dubious company now), overpaying for the used bag and the enamal ring chipping. Everything was costly and you made the best decisions you could at the time. Too many items, whether luxury or just nice items are so poorly contructed now.

When it comes to the nonstick pans, PLEASE do yourself a favor and switch to cast iron or carbon steel. Nonstick is notorious for containing highly toxic PFAS (Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) chemicals which leach readily into food (and don't be fooled by labels of "PFOA free" which are essentially meaningless). Cast iron/carbon steel cookware is non-toxic, relatively inexpensive (roughly 100 Euros/pounds or less for a large pan) and practically indestructible (they last well beyond our lifetimes). If you order the pans already seasoned, then they have great non-stick properties. Over time with further cooking, the seasoning gets more established, making the pans more non-stick. Otherwise, love your videos--very disappointing about the Coach bag, and happy to learn about idyl, which has such beautiful, dainty designs! If I manage to save up for it, will definitely splurge on their jewelry! Thank you for the excellent content!
