i'm gonna be all the way in japan and i live in France 10 hours over sea ! at least my friend from the school i'm going to now is coming with me she's already there cuz she 14 i need another year her parents actually live in tokyo so for her to from her school to her house is 10 hours on bus just like me on the plane ! its really fun there if you haven't decided wich school yet dm me its really cool there people are wonderful i've already made 7 friends and i'm not even there yet over skype

I go to a boarding school as a day student. At some schools they will let the boarders sleep over at day students house for like the weekend. That way you can get a break from school life

Hi, I'm in a big dilemma and I could use some help: I just moved to a boarding school a few hours from my home. It's very hard for me, because I love my family very much and I miss them everyday. I moved to the boarding school because my former school was not very good and I had no friends. Now I have friends, but the school is super hard and I'm already exhausted. Also, the lack of privacy here is very hard for me. Now I'm not sure I did the right decision. What do you think should I do? I really want to go back home.

Sorry if I'm too late, but a friend of mine felt the same way when she started at her boarding school in grade nine. This might not apply to everyone, but maybe just give it time? She loves her school now that she's gotten used to it, and hopefully you'll find it to be a second home:)

Where I live we have a well known boarding school, Worcester Academy. Worcester Massachusetts. I'm a local, so if I went to boarding school I could literally go anywhere in Worcester via bus..not the boarding school bus, a public bus.

I'm thinking about going to boarding school for the second semester this year just to start fresh. I've been pondering this idea for a while now and I'm wondering if it's the right thing to do. I want to evaluate my life. In my home town I haven't been able to focus on what I want to do with my life (cant decide between computer programming, writing, or film making) and to get away from this I've been spending all my time on my computer (mom isn't too happy about that). Also, my current school has given me anxiety and even a couple of panic attacks here and there. The boarding school that I would want to go to would be 400 miles away from my home so once I get there, there's no going back for a while. I'm not quite sure on how to approach this to my parents though (dont have the closest relationship with them). I know if I tell them that if it's better for me just to go someplace else, they just might buy the idea. Also, the financial portion of the boarding school wouldn't be a hassle for my parents considering that we live in a very upper middle class neighborhood, but what do I know. Awesome video! I might be going to music school and there are two I have to choose from. One is about an hour and a half away from my home and the other is five hours. Although I'm not going to let the journey influence my decision I do have to keep in mind that I'll probably be getting the train alone. And although I haven't even applied yet I'm still worrying like I've been accepted already, like if I'll miss my friends (There's an excuse to be on my phone more) or if I won't make new friends and that no one will like me, but I have to keep in mind how many people I know that have said that they loved boarding school, and that I should at least try it out for at least a year. Do you have any tips for help in choosing my boarding school? Like, what to look for in a school and things like that, because right now I'm stuck between two schools and don't know which is better, or, rather, which would be better for me. Thanks!

Just tell them exactly why you want to go there, do a pro and con list! Do you know anyone that goes to that school? if so get them to write to your parents about how great it is! Just have a serious conversation with them. Any other questions feel free to ask :)

I was a boarder then I changed to a day student at the same school. I did it for 25 weeks. Boarding can be great but it's not for everybody.

in my school, monday ~ friday its breakfast at 8am and class (break and lunch too )school finishs at 4pm and we get untill 5:20 to do want we want but we can only go to town twice a week but if we stay the weekend we can go as many times as we want on saturday and sunday, at 5:20 its tea amd we must go over and eat and after that we can do what we want IN the boarding house then its prep at 6:30 untill 8:30 and bed at 10 (phones get taken away and no talking or we get gated - not aloud to leave school gates) saturday and sunday its breakfast at 10, lunch at 12 and at tea at 5:20 and inbetween lunch and tea we can go where ever we want (aslong as we sing out and in) bed at 11 and w8e keep our phones and we can talk aslong as we r not shouting

It depends what school you go to. At my school whatever grade you're in or whatever doesn't really matter. We're all in the same situation living away from home. You only get judged if you judge other people or have a negative attitude towards those around you

Kept yourself busy really. Always remember that there is a way out. You can leave your boarding school with your parents permission, obviously, and rejoin mainstream education. You don't have to be at boarding school, unless your parents are forcing you to go, which they shouldn't be. If they are tell someone that you want to leave but your parents won't let you
