North and South New Mexico are really more like Santa Fe & ABQ vs the rest of New Mexico. Santa Fe and ABQ live a life full of hipster shops, craft beers, lots of art and cultural activities, most of the politics are decided there, but are extremely out of touch with how the rest of New Mexicans live. I'm a proud southern New Mexican, where sure, we like craft beers and culture once in a while, but we like simple and fuss free living in the remnants of the wild west. And to be left alone.

Otero county kid here, yup, we’re simple, chill, and don’t really get why they’re so weird up north. Haha. But they are out of touch with the rest of the state, they think that abq is the only city, and that literally everyone in nm is like a Berqueno, uh no, I’m from billy the kid country, we’re not the same lol.
