As a sex worker a lot of what you hear might be unrepeatable, but these nuggets they share raise eyebrows for a different reason.

@@jimshoe6699 Sex worker is a more global term, that's why it's used. People don't really see the soft parts as sex work, like escort or domination, or even webcams. Because there's a lot of social stuff on top of the sex stuff, hence the confusion. Which is why sex worker is mostly used since people don't think prostitution when they hear these things, when it obviously is.

0 0 actually sex workers are far cleaner than the average civvy on the street. If they are a reputable person they insist on condoms, which they provide for themselves EVERY SINGLE TIME and they get tested every 12 week’s compared to the average once a year of a non sex worker. Think about it, sex is their income, if they catch something that’s their income gone for at least the time it takes for an infection to clear and forever if it’s something incurable. Dumb ass

There's so many things!! Acne is a lot more complex than they think, so most of the time the advice is useless or I've already tried it. Also what annoys me is when someone who doesn't suffer from acne gets a single spot and cry's about it.

Comments here pissed me off. There's nothing wrong with paid sex or selling sex IF it's consensual. If someone wants to pay money to be spanked or flogged or tickled, let them, it's their choice. If you love sex why not turn it into a job? If it was decriminalized it'd be a lot less dangerous too.

I think sex work is ok if you're 18+, if there's consent, and if it's safe. I think this is a legitimate job. I can't even imagine the difficulty of being a female dominant. actually, asexuals just don't experience sexual attraction they can still want sex and enjoy it (obviously not all to but not all allosexuals want sex either). So in a way sex work is good for asexuals because the attraction is not necessary. My unpopular opinion is we should legalize it, and make it so it's a much safer environment. Regulate it. We could make it safe for both worker and client. But we choose not to.
@MsBrendalina
@MsBrendalina 6 жыл бұрын
Legalizing it hasn't worked out that way. In countries with a generous social safety net (like Amsterdam and Germany) there aren't enough prostitutes to meet the demand because fewer women have to choose between being homeless/starving and selling their body. So most of the brothels in those countries traffic women in from Eastern Europe and Asia and force them into sexual slavery. Legalizing prostitution leads to increased demand. And if there aren't enough willing sex workers to meet that demand, than pimps will find a way to exploit vulnerable women (and children) in order to fill that gap.

Yes! A lot of people also don't understand that a lot of sex workers are in fact advocates against forced prostitution and human trafficking. They want to take the sex industry out of the shadows-where a lot of the atrocities that are an unfortunate reality for many forced to work there are allowed to persist in the first place-and ensure workers have access to proper sex education, health care, legal protections, licensed brothels, and above all, the removal of stigma that does nothing to help sex workers or those forced to be, but only makes it worse.

I think people are misunderstanding the 'are you forced' question. They are being asked that personally, and are not downplaying or ignoring that it happens to other people. But it is rude for strangers to assume someone must be 'forcing' them to resort to such a career or that their must be some tragic reason behind their job. I don't think it's something that shouldn't be asked though as it does happen too often. But it must be annoying to get 'concerned' people acting like sex work is never consensual when they are open about their work.

@Bia L the point is that sex workers are human beings, and quite a few of them chose their career path because it was the best option for them. Alot of sex worker aren't even forced to resort to it, they genuinely enjoy it. The idea that sex work is vile or less legitimate than any other career comes from Puritan or Christian ideas that sex is terrible and people who enjoy it are bad. But sex workers are just people, not evil sinners, and they deserve equal protection and regulation. That's the point. Sex workers are people who often enjoy their job and don't want to have it stigmatized or punishable by law.

You often have to be very physical, and you have to deal with your customers emotions and feelings including some very manipulative people. Sex work allows me to pay my bills, pay for school and have time for school as well as having down time to be a young person and have fun. Sex work allows me to not only survive but to live and thrive. Help sex workers, tip your strippers, pay for your porn, but your dom a gift.

Sex Work/Prostitution in New Zealand is legal, and I'm happy about that. I don't see why people who are paid to give a service are imprisoned. So long as it's two consenting adults over 18 who aren't being forced into it, there's nothing wrong with it. Nurses, doctors, lawyers are paid to do a service and are imprisoned.

*WHAT THE SCIENCE SAYS* : In college, we were taught in neuroscience classes. There are three ways to determine sex: - *genotypical sex* : determined by one's sex chromosomes. (XX= female, XY=male. However, any chromosomical abnormality in this pair will lead the individual to be identified as *intersex* . - *phenotypical sex* : determined by one's internal and external sex organs/functionning. - *psychological sex*: determined by behavioural displays of gender identity based on psychological and *social constructs* . It isn't necessarily correlated to the individual's hypothalamus' cyclic activity. This is the current scientific consensus in a nutshell : *biologicaly, there are male, female and intersex individuals. Gender indentity is only based on psychological and social constructs and is independant of one's body.* It's up to you to base your opinion (whatever it is) on this information or not. (ps: the gender we were assigned at birth was based on our genitalia's outter appearance. If ambiguous, children usually undergo sex reassignment surgery and are assigned with the sex their genitalia most ressembles. Genotype isn't usually investigated. In some cases, disorders only occure on an internal level and the genotypical abnormalities remain undiagnosed until noticable symptoms are displayed.)

I can see how this applies to richer countries and I understand how frustrating for sex workers it must be when you are doing it by choice. However, in developing countries, like mine, the reality is brutal and much different. In a cross-sectional study in 116 countries, researchers found that human trafficking increases with legalization of prostitution (Cho, Dreher, Neumayer 2013 in World Development). What it's observed in many developing countries, in my experience, is that legalization leads to massive influx of national and international sex tourism (usually white males of US /European origin), while the legal brothels operate at the cost of young women and other vulnerable groups (e.g., transgenders, children) that would not do it by choice but do it for lack of prospects due to massive social inequality (disclosure - I think research on that should be easy to find, but I'm not reporting data here). In my opinion, the (partially) Scandinavian/French model should in theory work best: NOT criminalizing sex workers but make it illegal to buy sex, thus discouraging sex tourism, institutionalization, and human trafficking (i.e., criminalize the buyer not the worker). The fact that being a sex worker is a choice by a privileged percentage of the world population (predominantly White, from Industrial, Westernized Societies) should not prevent us from assessing the societal impact of sex work worldwide. Even in developing countries, the choice for sex work is associated with comparatively more privileged groups (e.g., white people amid an ethnically diverse society). Consider also that sex initiation of middle-class/wealthy disabled people in those countries are mostly done by vulnerable groups (yet another imbalance). There is a power structure surrounding sex-work that would should not forget: (a) social class/family's economic background (b) ethnicity (white/people pf color) (c)richer/poorer countries (d) gender/age.I think taking a stand against legalization (e.g., making it illegal to buy sex) means having empathy for the majority of the world's vulnerable population that will fall prey to the human traffic associated with legal prostitution. Personally, I'm a white person of European/US ancestry in a developing country full of racial and social inequalities. To me, it's my job to look at my privileges and fight for the protection and equality of the minority social groups I don't belong. Because if my "freedom" to enjoy my privileges is harming others, I try as much as I can, to support laws and policies that strip away my privilege to make it all more equal for others. That's my two cents.

Very well put. It's not as simple as "sex work is fine if its two consenting adults!"... in theory, yeah, and in an ideal world. But in reality, it is an incredibly exploitative industry and the sex workers we see on social media that are empowered by it are in the minority unfortunately.

Sex was never intended to be a "beautiful thing between 2 people" the whole point in it from the beginning of mankind was literally to populate the species. That's all! Also humans were never made to be monogamous. It's not in our biology. Why do you think so many people are unfaithful in relationships and so many men have visited escorts for centuries (it's obviously in demand whether you like it or not). Marriage and monogamy was invented by the Christian church as yet another way of controlling the population and forcing the idea that we should be in pairs. It's a load of bullshit. Why do you think so many people are coming out as being in polyagomous relationships? Sex doesn't have to involve love at all. It's a basic human need and we have instincts that need to be fulfilled.
@churka5984
@churka5984 5 жыл бұрын
@@Purple9721. eating is also a basic human need, but we don't encourage people to stuff their faces with crap do we. Morality and healthy human psyche go hand in hand and to suggest otherwise is materialist propaganda. Christianity didn't 'invent' monogamy and it most certainly didn't invent moral standards when it comes to sex. Or course perfect monogamous relationships can hardly exist due to the flawed human nature, but eternal monogamous relationships between gods predate Christianity a couple of millennias. Egyptian mythology is the first that comes to mind and ancient Egypt was one of the most advanced ancient cultures we can find. Of course some mythologies represent polygamy as well, but that still doesn't negate the concept of romantic love. Ancient Greeks had Eros and Agape (passion and true love) and Plato spoke about the importance of having both. Sex wasn't 'intended' to be anything. It's a physical need that to us humans represents intimacy due to its nature since it requires connection and communication.
