Could you do one for skin conditions? I’ve had pretty bad eczema since I was really little and some of the comments I get include 1) people trying to sympathize and tell you they know what it’s like because of this one little spot they get on their ankle every January, 2) people trying to give you miracle cures all the time 3) telling you it’s gross (or refusing to shake your hand or otherwise touching you), 4)people telling you that just a bit more moisturizing is all you need, 5)having you skin condition completely dismissed when you’re talking about it but don’t currently have a flare up so you look fine Just a few things to start, anyone else relate?
@yltraviole5 жыл бұрын
I'm very thankful that I nowadays only get the small spot on my ankle variety (actually, that's exactly where it is now), but I used to have terrible eczema as a child. Like "clothing sticking to my skin because I had scratched until I bled" bad. And I know that some people have it even worse. People often don't realize how painful it can be, or how maddening the itch. I've got told so many times to just stop scratching. Meanwhile my sister had it so bad she would scratch herself in her sleep.

@alexgeorge10285 жыл бұрын
@Charley Turner That's not what you said in your original comment. I don't see the problem with being referred to as beautiful. Just tell them to go by your name and that's it. I don't really see the disrespect there.
@alexgeorge10285 жыл бұрын
@Britny No I am getting it, you lot are just over-reacting. Calling someone beautiful isn't creepy. Maybe to you it is, but, thankfully, we're not all like you. If for whatever reason, you don't like it, just simply ask to be called by your name, and job done. If he/she ignores this complaint I can see why that would be annoying, but quiet frankly, complaining about being complimented is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. There are more important things to concern yourself with. I'm not going to be convinced with such bullshit.
@echostorm19965 жыл бұрын
@@alexgeorge1028 Just because something may objectively be seen as a compliment from the outside doesn't mean it actually is at it's core. It's patronizing to be called pet names by complete strangers. Especially as a woman when it pertains to their looks, since women are often seen as their looks being their only worth. If you wouldn't call a man you don't know "sweetie" or "beautiful", just assume a working professional of the opposite gender doesn't want to be called that either.
