And that's the best parts of RDO. I do have gripes with it (just let me play poker or do something in saloons for crying out loud, and overall negligence compared to GTAO), but the journey is great, getting money, finally buying fancy winter coat to let me explore/hunt in mountains, upgrading camp, customizing guns....thats the best part of RDO.

One fun thing to do is try to be a "documentary photographer" and take pics of other players as they raise hell. Most of the time they seem to be okay with it. I also like to do the same thing with griefers. Yes, they shoot me, but I get the pic.

First of all, I think I'm going to try the Shire. Second, I play similarly sometimes--but only when I'm in solo lobbies. Too many griefers for me otherwise. When I really want to relax, I start in either Rio Bravo or Gaptooth and keep resetting my camp until it sets up in Roanoke Ridge near the uppermost waterfall (far upper right corner of the map). Then I use my wagon, no horse, to get to camp. Oh, and I turn my volume up.

Love your vids! There's a Wardrobe in every major town except Annesburg, either inside the Tailor, or associated with the General Store (if there's no town tailor). It's usually inside the General Store, but sometimes out back (like in Strawberry, or out back from the Fence in Van Horn). There's even one inside the General Store at Wallace Station! My favorite is in New Austin (I think Tumbleweed) where the mirror is at a 45 degree angle so you can see the back of your outfits better!

On the way, stopped at many locations I've never bothered to actually stop at before. Cueva Seca, Silent Stand, so many other locations. So much loot. 6 or 7 collectables. 2 randomly spawned bounties (for which I had to run back to Tumbleweed to drop off, LOL). Two cougars for Cripps. Even used a treasure map for North Tumbleweed. Figured I controlled my own morality (good or bad) more than anyone else. "And", kept my precious GOLD. I did go all the way to Low Honor once. Just to get the award. Won't go into detail but, my method for that involved a rope. NPC's and a full on run. It was 'A Drag' for the unfortunate few.😂 Strawberry is my wife and I's favorite town on the frontier. @WMG Goose Thanks so much Goose!!! People “are” loving these videos in the comments… “but” the actual reason that I haven’t gotten more subs is because the “topics” of my RDR2 Online videos are not what people are searching for on KZbin when it comes to RDR2, so the videos aren’t getting seen as much as other channels that have “Hunting, Grinding, Money, Gold, Guns, Horses, Outfits and Updates” in their video titles. My video subjects and titles are so different than other RDR2 content that it doesn’t rank very high in KZbins algorithm for RDR2 search terms which really sucks for viewers who want different content other than the same ol’ stuff. Now that I’ve gotten my “off topic” videos out of the way, maybe I’ll start making more “Hunting and fishing” videos again to gain more momentum to my channel on KZbin, then more people can enjoy my past videos from there. I wish I didn’t have to please KZbins algorithm by doing the same content as everyone else, but it’s simply the reality of how KZbin works. 😑👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Love your videos mate. I pretty much skipped single-payer and went right into online; I've missed so much. The single-player world is so much more alive and seems more real. A much better environment for exploration I believe. Not sure why, but I am always getting in trouble though, I can't stop fighting people when they are rude. 😊

@Pandoin I agree that story mode was absolutely incredible. I think Rockstar is very limited with what they can do with online servers because there would be too much player lag. I do believe that they did the best that they could with online mode. Great share! 😁👍🏼

I love Strawberry! My posse (my mom, cousin and I) spent a couple hours attacking NPCs from the welcome center balcony to get dishonorable enough to finish my story missions. I don’t mess with other players unless they attack me ( annoyingly happens a lot) and love the details of the game!

Sounds like fun, I have a female Native character on Xbox. I do a lot of the things CEOfoxtrot does, I take my time traveling place to place I stop at towns camps or homes to rest for the night. I’ll help friends run wagons and I do bounties for cash. I don’t do the PVP stuff and I try to avoid getting in gun fights with other PCs.

I remember around Xmas, my camp was near Painted Sky and I kept tucking my horse in the stable instead of leaving her out in the perpetual snowstorm. :-) Your timing is perfect. Some of my favourite moments have been from wandering off the shortest route and finding fascinating places, or just leaving my horse in camp and wandering around on foot to watch the wildlife and admire the scenery. At the moment, I'm feeling a little lost in the game - I maxed out Collector and it's getting a bit repetitive, Naturalist is deeply disappointing, and I have no interest in the other roles. Maybe I lost track of the real beauty of this game: just roaming around being part of the world, without focusing on specific goals.
@ceofoxtrot3 жыл бұрын
@Prysmcat I don’t even own the Naturalist role or the Moonshiner role... and I’m only rank 3 in the Bounty Hunter role because I don’t like killing people in the game unless I have to. I created this channel for players like yourself who get swallowed by the role businesses and turn it into a job. You should take a vacation from that and just roam around to cool places and take in the sites. And when you do this, you’ll see many more stranger events show up because the game knows that you’re just casually roaming around. And oddly, your money, gold, collectables and XP will continue to add up somehow. Try watching a few of the videos on my channel to explore the things that are “hidden in plain site” in the game. Hope this helps! 😉👍🏼

I think I am one of the odd folks who enjoys Naturalist. The reason for it is simply because it allows me to discover all the different types of wildlife that are in the game. It blew me away when I first discovered that there were two different types of pronghorn! Odd I know, but it was something that had me thinking. There are still a few critters that I am missing, and am searching for, and wishing that naturalist had a bird list that was similar to the reptile list. Then again, maybe I am just odd? What I really wish they had for wildlife in the game? Porcupines. I honest to goodness am shocked that they don't have them in the game. When I heard the skunks giggling, I thought that they were porcupines, and was very saddened to discover that I was wrong.
@prysmakitty3 жыл бұрын
@@hawklight21 Makes sense. My reasons for disliking Naturalist are probably not the ones most people have. I intensely dislike killing animals except to defend myself if I can't run away or, occasionally, for food, although I do more fishing and bow-fishing when I need that. I find the necessity of terrifying an extremely realistic animal with multiple sedative shots, along with panicking all its herd-mates, so unpleasant that I really just want nothing more to do with it. Poacher missions are fine in moderation, but the rewards are so low that it hardly seems worth the effort. If there was more recognition that studying and tracking are valuable, and a more high-powered sedative that could bring animals down with a shot or two, I'd probably see it differently. The amount of info Harriet could actually get from a sample at this point would be no greater than the info that would come from more extensive observation. (Also, I find trying to get samples of wolves and big cats a bit ridiculous as far as difficulty!) I love enjoying the wildlife too - I'm just finding that I prefer to do it with my binoculars and camera, in my own way. I do like the Legendaries - not to hunt, just to admire. I'm glad it works for you the way it is, though. :-)
@prysmakitty3 жыл бұрын
@@ceofoxtrot Thanks. I feel sometimes like I'm being overly fussy. I don't much like fighting (although I will when I need to, and I get very testy when someone messes with my horse) and I dislike killing animals - I'd rather run away whenever I can and fish and scavenge most of the time. I have yet to have a good experience with a Free Roam Event or the races and all, the positive-honour stranger missions are still about 50-50 for whether a griefer interferes, and I have no interest in grinding through endless delivery missions and that kind of thing. That rules out most of the things people seem to do in the game. And yet... somehow I keep coming back, just to hop on my Ardennes girl Titania and roam around. It's good to know that there are others around, you and a lot of the folks in the comments, who experience the game in similar ways. Not about winning, just about enjoying the moment. Still need to steal a steamboat and go up the rivers, too. :-)

Always love seeing your videos! You roleplay like a pro. I'm not anywhere near your level of immersion but I try!
@ceofoxtrot3 жыл бұрын
@Marko G I personally wouldn’t consider myself a role play “pro” because there are some players on KZbin who actually make me look like an amateur. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6jOo5WgaNeVp6M My technique is to play the game as if I was in the Red Dead world “in real life”. So I try to “walk” places on foot and on my horse most of the time (instead of running) and I look around at absolutely “everything” so I don’t miss any cool details. Try playing the game as you were really there in real life... (and if you were there in real life), where would you go and what would you do? What would you be curious about in that world? Hope this helps. 😉👍🏼
