Pandemic fatigue has really been a problem! Live alone and don't drive hard to get around. Just able to walk around a few blocks and get some fresh air. That is the negative, the positive is I live in beautiful warm and sunny Florida on the Gulf Coast! Just turn your negative to a positive you'll make it!

Do you still bike? I’m riding my recumbent trike and participating in the TOGETHERIDE for ALC this year. I’m working with Trudgy buddies and Team Fubar to get into shape and lose weight (currently 285). Being type 2 and 66 yrs old I’m finding it hard to lose weight and stay motivated to exercise during the pandemic. West Hollywood is such a great place to live but housing is expensive.... would love to find a cheap studio apartment so I can downsize all my stuff. I may move to Canada where my BF lives if they ever open the borders and allow visitors in to live.

Hi, "guys" is a gendered term in and of itself. There is a lot behind why the masculine is what people go to or perceive as "neutral". For individuals who do not fall within the gender binary, language like this erases them and when we intentionally choose language that is inclusive, everyone is able to be a part of the conversation w/out one gender being uplifted as superior (or more desirable) over the others.

@@renollive There are lots of ways a gender can be uplifted as superior. Saying " You guys" isn't one of those reasons. In this context it loses it's gendered meaning, most people aren't thinking about gender when they say it. You can argue that it sucks that masculine is treated as the default, but no one should be feeling erased or left out over it. Most understand that in this context everyone is included. If you're feeling insecure about it it's probably because you think about your gender way too often.

Coming from someone who grew up in Southern California and has lived in the South and the Midwest as an adult, I've noticed "you guys" is a very west coast thing. It is used so nonchalantly that I would argue it is gender neutral.

@@maryannegautier in the great words of Elle Woods, "What like it's hard?". I think you missed the point of my criticism. I used to love his videos. Hell I still have a photo I took with him at Dragcon one year. But over the years his videos have become less authentic. His videos are all commercials, his instagram shows him traveling A LOT (even during a pandemic), and most of his posts have been just thirst traps to sell you something. I miss the old Kyle. The one who talked about his life, the one who would bring guests on and cut their hair while chatting, all while not trying to sell you something. You can call me a hater all you want, think I'm just jealous, whatever... but there's a comment section and I'm gonna speak how I feel. Social media stars are great at the beginning and then they get trapped by the commercialism and now you don't know if you're watching them or an actor being paid to simply sell you something.
