Rivers, bridges, trees, bikes, houses, narrow streets combine all together to create a special picture. You will feel you are back to 18 century.

I have visited Amsterdam 3 times so far and it's my favourite city in the whole world!!Looking forward to go again! I think there are a lot more attractions to see in Amsterdam: 1. the Johan Cruijff Arena (Ajax Stadium) 2. A cheese factory and try the awesome gouda varieties 3. The IceBar Amsterdam 4. Nemo Science Museum 5. Opera and Ballet House 6. Day or night canal cruise 7. Dam Square and Royal Palace 8. Artis Royal Zoo and Micropia Exhibition Also outside of it: 1. Keukenhoff Gardens 2. Edam, Volendam, Zaanse Schans villages 3. Rotterdam port and food market 4. Utrecht picturesque city centre The Netherlands is an amazing country guys and the locals are so friendly and welcoming.. Definitely worth at least a visit during your lifetime.. 😍😍😊😊

Tip: Be careful when buying flower bulbs at the Bollenmarkt! Recently a report came out that said only one percent of bulbs bought there actually end up blooming. This is mainly due to vendors selling dried out bulbs that they kept for too long. As a general rule, there really shouldn’t be any bulbs available between December and July, so any you encounter in that time will most likely be old dried up ones.

December 4, 2018 the "I AMSTERDAM" sign on Museum square has been removed by the council after 15 years.
@MMijdus5 жыл бұрын

I've been to Amsterdam several times with the guys, but they just get high all day and we don't get to do any of this stuff.

Daan Made in Holland as we live here it is nothing special, for people who arent for europe for example its a whole diffrent world..just being here able to look at the city is enough for most of them as it is a world of change. I agree though as a ducth citizen i have to agree it sucks to live here to be honest...

Best places? Go away from Amsterdam and see for example The Hague, Haarlem, Utrecht, Maastricht, Groningen, Deventer or something. It's much nicer nowdays.

I don't understand why these touristy videos don't mention sports in the city. Amsterdam is home to one of the most famous football clubs around the world and the most successful team in the Netherlands where many foreign visitors visit their stadium that has been named after the best ever footballer of the Netherlands, Johan Cruyff.

Another thing to do in Amsterdam: get the hell out of there and explore nicer cities like Den Haag, Utrecht, Groningen, Den Bosch, Maastricht. That way you'll get to learn real Dutch cities, because Amsterdam is one big tourist trap.

gyqz such bull. Maybe dam square is but the tourists usually don't even get out the canal area. Amsterdam is beautiful and a lot of fun.

Some advice when going to the Netherlands. Don’t listen to travel advice from people in the other cities in NL. They are jealous because Amsterdam has more tourist in 1 month than the rest of the country in a year.

I love AMS... only avoid Damrak as it is filled with American fast food chains. the rest of the city is dominated by small independently owned businesses and there are endless quiet residential streets!

Sad to see so many "dislikes" on this video. I felt the guide was to-the-point and very informative (for the time period). It laid a great basis for me to begin my travel plan for my days in Amsterdam. Thanks!
